The food and service is really good, but man is the place unnecessarily loud. All that hard work for the food and service and no planning for horrible acoustics.

I swear I exited Madison and entered a side cafe in el D.F. (Mexico City). The chill atmosphere and music with the sound of traffic whooshing past felt spot on. But the food, Dios mío, was a 10 out of 5! So well seasoned and juicy, just the aroma made me swoon with delight. Cassidy gave me great information so I could get the perfect flight of tacos, (DO NOT miss the cochinita pibil), and made sure I didn’t miss out on the rum cake. (Thank you, Cassidy!) I’d eat here daily if I wasn’t just passing through the state.

Unbelievable contribution to the Madison food scene, and sits at the top of the taco pyramid. Flavor is outrageous; selection is refined; cocktails are craft. We got lucky finding it, but it’s on our map and it will be our repeat place.

It's very authentic setting places this establishment in a different category. Simple cocktail menu - taco options that are delicious and won't overwhelm you with hours of decision making. While the food is the focus - the simplicity of the atmosphere allows you to focus on your partner; all the while having a great conversation.

My partner and I ordered a plate of 5 tacos, chips and guac, and we both got drinks, which totaled about $50 not including a tip. I enjoyed the 3 tacos I had but my partner had the 2 vegetarian tacos and thought they lacked flavor. I ordered one of their drink specials, a double daiquiri and the size of the cup it was served in was so small it tasted like it was straight up 2 shots of rum and just a splash of juice. I enjoyed the tacos al pastor the best, the pricing just felt a little steep for what we actually got. I would be willing to give it another try and just stick to what I know is good.

Nice restaurant, the tacos were good. They were smaller than I'm used to. The owner is awesome, very nice & down to earth.

He's there most nights it seems & always helping staff & watching customers

Seriously, so good. Fresh, dressed like a million bucks- might as well wear your all blue chucks. The food is EXTREMELY fresh, no janky guac, sketchy seafood, or dried chix- it's all good. Bevs take a sec to get, but, honestly it's worth it. Enjoy!

Vegetarian options: As a veg, they have very interesting options such as mushroom al pastor and cauliflower/sweet potato options on rotation. I'd love for them to throw some marinated tofu on the revolving menu, but ya can't have it all ?‍♀️ pretty sure I was told the rice and beans have no lard (double check) so enjoy!

Wheelchair accessibility: On ground floor, double doors- everything rhymes!

We’re eating their happy hour nachos right now, and washing it down with a happy hour margarita. It is delightful.
