Looking for a sunny patio on a Saturday midday after the farmer's market, we decided on Vintage when MadisonTap wasn't yet open. Vintage had outside seating in the front (on E. Wash) which was shady, and on a side courtyard, which was half sun, half shade. We asked to sit in the courtyard. Hostess sat us at a table in the shade. We asked to sit in the sun. Hostess refused as the tables in the sun sat 6 and the tables in the shade sat 4 and we were a party of 2. I wanted to leave immediately, but as we were already on destination #2 and a bit hungry, wife convinced me to stay. We ordered some apps, cheese curds and Rip Rip chicken, and tried to order some brunch cocktails...an old fashioned and something called a Stop, Hammer Thyme. Unfortunately, they were out of some ingredient for the latter cocktail, so I stuck with water. By the time apps and drinks arrived (10-15 minutes after being sat), 2 different parties of two had been sat at the sunny six tops. Now I'm unhappy. Chicken tortilla soup and cheese curds were mid. Rip Rip chicken was a soggy, disgusting mess of a dish. We barely touched it. Server didn't ask any questions about why we didn't eat it or want to take it to go. I couldn't wait to leave. 2 star food and a 1 star experience. I rounded up as the space, both inside and out, is really nice. While the food in this local chain has never been excellent, I've never had food or service quite this bad at any of their other locations.

Always great food and service. I have ate here for brunch, lunch and dinner and never been disappointed. Creative drinks and food but nothing too "weird" for those who don't like to be adventurous.

My fiancé come here for dinner at least once a month because we are so obsessed with the food, primarily the fried meatball appetizer. We always start with a drink at the bar and make our way to a table for dinner. The service is always amazing. Also this is in a great location within walking distance of the capitol, other breweries and cute shops!

We came for brunch with a large group, and I've got to give them props - they kept up with the bottomless mimosas. You don't see that everywhere! But here, as they ran out, they were refilled. As for brunch goes - get a reservation!! And tip well!! This is a busy spot. I was the designated driver, so I got myself a singular cocktail and it was excellent. Despite the rush, I enjoy how they still topped it with fresh herbs. I'm a s***** for details. The food was good as well, but I've got to commend their service. Like I said, there were many of us and we were here during a busy time, but I didn't feel neglected at all. Would recommend!

Bad host. Me and my two kids was waiting to be seated for over 30 mins and a couple who came after me 15 mins later, was able to take seat. She could have told us to take seat, when a group from a table had just left. Respectfully, i waited for her to escort us. But no, the couple asked the host if they could seat at the empty table and she agreed. smh. We left afterward. My kids were running out of patience. We were the only ones waiting for that long. People were going in and out. Not sure if they were racist or what. It was last on april 8th around 5pm.

Don't let the cold exterior of this establishment turn you away. I know it looks like an unpleasant strip mall diner, but it really is a pleaant interior. An impressive wine list. I can't speak to the beer but everyone there seemed to be enjoying it.

What's the to say about vintage that hasn't been said before. It's a good place with a good atmosphere good food good price. You're almost guaranteed to see someone there you know. You won't leave disappointed and the food is always hot and delicious.

We had a large party of 14 and some were late and one didn't show up. The staff was very understanding and put in the orders quickly for the late people. We were probably there too long at the end even. I went on Friday and got their AYCE- which I learned stands for all you can eat - baked fish fry- baked fish entree? The not fried version of the fish fry. It was very nice because I don't love fish fry. It's $16.50 and once you eat the three 3in x 1 in pieces they will give you one more piece at a time. This takes a bit but fish is pricey. I recommend saving your sides until you eat the 4th piece of fish.

My wife found this place while we were in Madison for a wedding and boy are we glad that we went! In addition to the good beer selection, the food was fantastic and the service was good, albeit slow due to how busy it was. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Burrito (see picture) and I ordered the Rip Rip Cheesy Mac (see pictures). Both were delicious - juicy, rich and flavorful. I really liked the Rip Rip Chicken on top of the macaroni and cheese, so if I went back I would probably try that by itself. This place is definitely worth a stop when you are downtown in Madison. We had been to their location in Sauk but not this one even though it is only a few miles from our home. We made a reservation through Open Table though it wasn't too busy on that Friday night. We couldn't find street parking so we parked in the Livingston garage a block or two away - only 80 cents/hour. The space is big and airy. The menu is typical sandwiches, burgers and fish fry. They had an Old Fashion special so three of use took advantage of that - the drink was very good. We all had a fish fry though not the Friday all you can eat special since that would have been wasted on us. A couple had the cod and a couple of us had the bluegill fish fry. The fries were quite tasty. Everyone gave their dinner a big thumbs up. Also the food came out in record time. I guess this is one kitchen in town that must have enough help. We used a City Tin coupon for $10 off the meal. The food was reasonably priced to start with. We will return.

One of my favorite Madison breweries, great place to get beers and food, and ideal to watch any sort of sporting, thanks to ample seating and TVs. I got the ham and egg breakfast sammie with a side of hashbrowns, so good. And then for beer I got the vapour trail, cosmic cash machine, better off red, and then a 6-pack of the mosey IPA to go. I liked all the beers I had. They had a full brunch menu, good service, and located near the capital and downtown Madison area. No parking lot, but there was a garage nearby. I'd gladly come back if I'm back in town again.

Walked in after three other breweries recommended this place. And the nachos. Anxious for the nachos, they can't be that good. Quick end to your voyage, I don't know. Never got them. I should clarify, never ordered them. Walked in, bar half full. Restaurant a quarter full. Sit at the end of the bar, Closest to the door. Not a look for ten mins. TEN minutes. Then the bartender with the Afro (sorry, defining characteristic), sees me and tells someone else I'm there. Walks outside the bar and hands me a menu, but not a beer menu. So what am I drinking? Again, who knows because I never got the chance. Five minutes later I get up and leave. Wanted a local brew and some food. Led with a sour taste in my mouth. Sorry to the host, that I let know why I was leaving on my way out. Not your fault man Is zero stars an option?

What we liked were the beers. We had two beers and ordered no food. The group of 5 guys who had been there for bottomless mimosas for 2 hours before we got there were attended to no less than 3 times while we were there. Our glasses sat empty for 10 plus minutes. Two of the bartenders helped them multiple times in the 25 minutes we were there, but never ended up by us, even though we were literally right next to them at the end of the bar. I made eye contact with both of them twice, and once even said "Excuse me", and again, nothing. We sat there with empty glasses and no bill for over ten minutes before a third bartender showed up and was able to help us. To you, ten minutes may not sound like a long time, but when you see how much attention someone literally RIGHT NEXT to you is getting, and all you want is your check, it's very frustrating. I don't know if it was because they were regulars (couldn't tell) and we weren't, but it's not cool to offer better treatment to other people for no reason, especially in such a visible manner. I'll buy Vintage beers again- just not from this place.

Let me start by saying this I have been the the saulk city location and loved the brunch food I got. Went here for date night, a Friday night so of course there was a wait. Sat at the bar ordered a beer and a mock tail for the wife. They don't have mock tails on the menu but being a former bartender I helped them out to give my beautiful pregnant wife something fun to drink. After the first drink we got sat at a corner table with beautiful views. We then ordered dinner I ordered the bluegill po boy and the wife got a margarita pizza. First the good the wife loved the margarita pizza great flavor great portion for the price. My po'boy was a tasteless bland! The Cajun Mayo isn't a Mayo at all more like bbq sauce! Usually the sauce on a po'boy is my FAVORITE. This MISSED the mark by a mile. But I will go back and will order something else because I have had better experiences from vintage. I advise not to order this!

I don't drink but came with a few friends who wanted to come here, so I ordered a water, in addition to an entree and app. The waitress came multiple times to ask my friends if they wanted another beer, but never once asked me if I wanted a refill of my water, which was empty for an hour. Felt really bad, and felt peer pressure to tip a few bucks, just in case some of my friends saw. But really, I should've tipped 0 due to the discrimination. The food was just mediocre too, by the way. Awful feeling coming here, and I won't be coming again.
