The Baked Lab (by appt only)

My fiancé (now wife) and I inquired at our favorite bakeries in town when considering where to order our wedding cake. Unfortunately, most offer neither tiered cakes nor delivery. We are so glad we discovered Baked Lab. Our cake was beautiful, and the macaroons delicious. It was worth every penny for the quality and the service. Friends and family should not be held responsible for transporting a wedding cake.

We hired The Baked Lab to make desserts for our wedding and we are so happy we did! They made tiramisu shooters and gluten free espresso bourbon cupcakes and both were so delicious, our guests loved them! They were incredibly easy to work with and so conveniently located near our venue (The Tinsmith). The also have such a great selection of gluten free options. We would absolute recommend working with The Baked Lab for your wedding desserts!

We worked with The Baked Lab for our wedding cake and are so happy we did! After sampling flavors from a few different bakeries in the area, we knew right away that The Baked Lab's flavors simply ranked supreme. On top of that, they were able to decorate our cake in the vintage/Lambeth style of my dreams. Shawn was always quick to answer our questions and Abby was incredibly accommodating with our pick-up time. Our cake was a beautiful centerpiece at our reception and we received so many compliments from our guests! We will 100% be ordering cakes and other desserts from The Baked Lab in the future and highly recommend their services!

I wanted a dessert buffet for my Husband's surprise 50th birthday party. I read other reviews and decided to give The Baked Lab a try. They were amazing start to finish. It was so easy to order and pick what I wanted. So many choices lets you have a great variety of items. Everything was delicious and beautiful to look at. I would highly recommend The Baked Lab for any of your party dessert needs.

If you are getting married, you need The Baked Lab to make your wedding cake! Shawn and his team communicated with us very well and helped us make our vision come to life! We just wanted a simple white cutting cake with a floral arrangement, and then 2 other sheet cakes of various flavors. While the cakes were simple, they were also beautiful and bursting with flavor! We got so many compliments, specifically on their carrot cake. Some guests said it was the best they have ever had! Thank you Shawn and team for being a part of our amazing day!

Thank you so much to The Baked Lab for the fantastic job they did on a small cake for our 20-person wedding in Madison. We ordered a single red velvet cake, and everyone was raving about how good it was. The Baked Lab team made it really easy to design and place the order, as well as to pick it up. Thank you to the team for your help, you made our day even more special (and delicious)!

I highly recommend The Baked Lab. We found The Baked Lab while researching bakeries for our wedding. The cake was by far the best cake of the bakeries we sampled and some of the best cake that I've had in general!

Our wedding cake was beautiful and just as delicious as we remembered. Sean was wonderful to work with and very responsive. We also ordered desserts for our rehearsal dinner and they were a huge hit!

We're looking forward to the next time we order treats from The Baked Lab!

The Baked Lab provided our wedding deserts and we couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. Everyone loved the blueberry lemon cake and the assortment of pastries, cookies and brownies.

The service provided was seamless. Once we made our order, the staff showed up to the venue on our wedding day, and laid out all the deserts on the table in a beautiful assortment.

10/10 would recommend The Baked Lab for anyone looking to provide a sweets table at a wedding, event, etc.

The Baked Lab made our wedding cake, and it was so great! They were part of a group that generously donated their services to host LGBTQ elopements. We never consulted them about the cake, but somehow they made exactly what we would've picked ourselves. They made our day so amazing!

My husband and I got the cake tasting box for his birthday and loved all the flavors. It was a great way to sample the flavors without committing to a full size cake. But next time we will know what flavor to get. All the cake flavors we sampled had just the right amount of butter cream to cake ratio that made the cake moist but not overly sweet.

We recently tried the rice Krispy treats and Omg they are amazing. I'm not even a rice Krispy person usually and I was reluctant. But they are the perfect texture and sweetness. Will be back 😊

We ordered a carrot cake for our wedding and it was absolutely delicious. Beyond the cake itself, the flower decoration was perfection and matched our theme perfectly. Thank you for making our day extra delicious!

This review is long long overdue. The Baked Lab is by far the best bakery that we have ever been to. We initially discovered The Baked Lab when researching bakeries for our wedding cake and desserts. When we tried their wedding cake tasting box we immediately knew that this was the place. After that we were hooked. Nearly every pop-up that Shawn had we couldn't resist getting some sweet treats on Saturday mornings and everything was so unique, delicious, and well made. Fast forward to our wedding and we got so many compliments on Shawn's baked goods. People couldn't help themselves from trying to snatch them up before we cut our cake haha.

If you haven't gotten the picture yet, you will not be disappointed if you give The Baked Lab a try. Shawn is a talented and kind baker who truly cares about his craft. Every single thing he has created that we've tried has been amazing and as long as we are in the Madison area we will continue to try more.

We loved having Baked Lab as our guest's dessert for our wedding! We had seen Baked Lab at different markets throughout the year and Sean was so personable when we saw them at the Wedding Expo. Ordering and pickup was super straight forward and the desserts were delicious and fun to have an assortment. Follow them on Instagram if you do not already because they make some incredible cakes and dessert tables.
