I was expecting the brunch to take place in the restaurant, not on the 2nd floor banquet room with waaaay too many tables. The atmosphere was not conducive to brunch, the food was minimally okay, but not worth the price. On the positive side, our server was pleasant. I don't make a habit of trashing a dining experience and I feel I'm a fairly objective person. This is not what I expected and I will look for another venue to celebrate Mother's Day in the future.
Ate at the buffet on Easter Sunday. My children asked where do you want to go for your birthday? My birthday was one week away from Mother's Day so I suggested we celebrate birthday and Mother's Day at the Concourse. I remembered the especially good ham from Easter so that's why we chose the Concourse.
This buffet was in a conference room that was made into a dining room for the day. The food was not kept hot and many of the stations were often empty. There was a nice variety of food, but the ambience was lacking and there were too many issues with the food.
Reservation was for 1215. Food was certainly not the greatest for the price. Luke warm at best. Items not replenished very fast. Prime rib was dry and was only given one small piece at a time. Parking was complimentary but our SUV was too tall, no notice of how tall the inside was until you drove in and a plastic beam was inside that scraped the roof of our SUV. Not much room to try and turn around. Had to find a different parking ramp and pay for parking. Will not go back for this Mother's Day brunch
Again as with our first experience at Easter, the brunch layout is so very easy to maneuver and deal with, even with a Mother using a walker. Even though it is a very large space we've never felt congested or like you are waiting in lines forever to get a chance to serve ourselves and our party. Food selections and quality are top notch and there always seems to be adequate staff to keep buffet filled and to be right on top of clearing tables as needed. The Concourse will continue to be our go-to venue for holiday celebrations. We totally enjoy our experiences there!
There was an automatic 20% tip on my bill for a party of 6 which I'm happy to pay and understand. I was a bit surprised since it was a buffet and when my daughter asked for a glass of juice and I asked for a coffee I was pointed to where I can get it myself. Then I stood in line to pay my bill and when I checked out there was another line for a tip. It did not say “additional tip” so if I had not noticed the automatic tip I would have tipped again. I find that a bit insulting and deceitful.
We've done this buffet 4 times now. Each time it declines a bit. We likely won't be returning as the food and drink offering compared to what you pay doesn't really line up.
The bartenders are awesome and make a perfect cosmopolitan with a lemon twist.

The breakfast buffet New Years morning was very good. Lots of selection. Thank you for having signs saying what the dishes were as I have food allergies so that helps tremendously.
We have eaten Thanksgiving dinner at CIRC many times in the past, was very disappointing that the meal was held in their massive ballroom this year. It would have been helpful to know that in advance.

From the moment we walked through the front door the staff were very professional and accommodating. We were shown to our table and were seated immediately. Even though they were extremely busy, we never felt rushed and the delicious food never ran low. Everything was laid out logically and easy to find. I am not a huge fan of buffets. This one was the best I have ever attended and would not hesitate to go again. All 3 of us said we were very pleasantly surprised and pleased ? with the experience!
We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving buffet meal at the Concourse. Fantastic variety! Exceptional freshness and quality! Terrific value - half the price of other high-end hotels in the Milwaukee area! Served in their ballroom, the ambience was just OK. But, who cares when everything else is so incredibly good! Already thinking about next Thanksgiving!
Very disappointing. Atmosphere was cold and impersonal. Service people walked by multiple times without picking up our dirty plates. One picked up a plate, then turned to talk to the next table and put the dirty plate back on our table and walked away. Table legs on ends were a tripping hazard when sitting and leaving table. Food was too salty. I found a whole potatoe (with skin on) in my whipped Yukon golds. Green beans were undercooked and tough; sweet potatoes and parsnips cooking doneness was inconsistent with some pieces undercooked and others overcooked. There were zero non-meat protein options. Overall, food options were unimaginative and in sharp contrast to an amazingly beautiful, creative and delicious Thanksgiving buffet + entree choice we had at CIRC a few years ago. That dinner was cozy and elegant and special whereas the ballroom experience was the complete opposite.
Good food, good drinks, good service. Decent prices. Steak with mushrooms and potatoes for $28 is pretty solid. Not the *most* vegetarian friendly spot you could find in Madison, but it's a small menu to begin with.
