Great local neighborhood bar. Best whiskey bar in Madison. Also a very good craft beer selection and great beers on tap. With October almost here I had to stop by Bill's bar to try his Oktoberfest beer on tap and wasn't disappointed. It was great and a good size mug (see pic attached). You can find some of the most unique beer and premium whiskey selections in Madison. Great to support locally owned Madison establishments like the Malt House. There is no food kitchen, but you can get food delivered. Check out the Malt House Facebook page to see what nights local bands are playing here.Parking: If you get here early, there is a parking lot at the Malt House. On a busy night you may have to get nearby (free) street parking.

Went here for a beer after one of the crappiest days I have ever had. The bartender asked what had happened and I said "You don't want to hear my sob story. She was all "No, go ahead and tell me." So I told her what had happened. My dog that I had for a long time, who was my best buddy, had to be put down and I was heartbroken. She gave me the beer for free and gave me a big hug too! I was amazed. There are people who care in this world and this bartender (Can't remember the name but, I remember the face.) is one of them. I wasn't looking for a free drink but, it was much appreciated. You have gained a customer for life!
