This was the best restaurant/bar not knowing where to go being out of town quest recommended from Sleep Inn Hotels.
I would drive back from Frankenmuth Michigan to eat here and hang out with great locals. Shout out to 2 great people we met there Jeremy and Julie.

This out of the way family “Supper Club “ 55 year old plus restaurant was well worth the visit. The family members still operate this gem of a restaurant and it seemed to be filled by the locals . We were greeted at the door and told sit at the bar to order our food off the menu until a table was open. Well, that made business at the bar booming so you ended up getting to know a few people at the bar. The drinks and the food was great. For a Monday night the place was packed. Just get into the mood that you’ll have to wait a lot of time for your food. We left at 9;30 pm and the place was still packed. Add this place to your dining list if you want a over the top fun place to dine.

Friday fish fry's are probably really good, however they require you to get a drink at the bar and order your food from the bar and wait until you're called - it was 8:00 pm and still was so busy the wait time was 30+ - we were super hungry and went to the Maple Tree - their food is great as well.

If Mean Girls owned a restaurant- this would be it. If you’re not a regular it’s a very awkward situation. Wait at the bar, to get a menu, wait 30 mins to place your order, wait another 45 mins for your food. Food is not typical yummy supper club food. Fake chicken patty, awful burger. Bartenders & drinks are good. Would never go back or recommend to anyone visiting Madison!

I was sold on the vintage feel of this place. Family run for 58 years. We heard the wait can be long, due to its popularity. When you get there, you have to see the bartender and let them know you want to be added to seating list. You can order drinks in the meantime , and a waitress will come over, and take your food order at the bar.
We were able to snag bar seats, put in our dining order and within 20 minutes, our kind waitress informed us our table was ready. I was surprised as I was well aware with the popularity of this restaurant, you must be patient since there is a wait at times.

The staff was beyond friendly including the bar staff. This place is a TRUE supper club. Veggies, pickles, dinner rolls, crackers to start. My filet, cooked to perfection and LOADED with mushrooms. I recommend the hash browns too. Prices are so reasonable. Will return!! I was stuffed when I left this restaurant

We did go on a Friday night .. but getting food was a long and chaotic 'process' - there is no matradis to take your name at this joint... The 'system' is you need to battle your way to the bar and ask to get food... They don't take your name - they hand you a menu, which is supposed to signal to a waitress that you need sustenance and then at some point within the next hour they come to you and take your order.... Then within an hour of that a waitress will tell you to follow them to a table... Needlessly complex and anxiety ridden process - what's wrong with a list? All the staff are lovely though and food was good - nothing gourmet... Decent home cooked meal standard. Overall Ozk but not worth the wait

Food was okay. The service was quite disorganized and not very good.

This is my favorite place to eat in Madison. Great food, excellent prices, and the best staff. Their Wednesday comfort food specials are the absolute best!

Also, the house-made soups are stellar and their old fashioneds go down quite easily.
