Thank you to Toby’s Supper Club for being an amazing community partner and supporting us! Their generous donation helped make our fundraiser a success. We truly appreciate their commitment to giving back and making a difference right here in our community!
If Mean Girls owned a restaurant- this would be it. If you’re not a regular it’s a very awkward situation. Wait at the bar, to get a menu, wait 30 mins to place your order, wait another 45 mins for your food. Food is not typical yummy supper club food. Fake chicken patty, awful burger. Bartenders & drinks are good. Would never go back or recommend to anyone visiting Madison!

Toby's is one of my all-time favorite supper clubs. Very reasonably priced, fish, steak, fried pickles, key lime martini....I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely a great place, Kenny Krista, Benny, Daniel are all absolutely AMAZING!!!!

I was sold on the vintage feel of this place. Family run for 58 years. We heard the wait can be long, due to its popularity. When you get there, you have to see the bartender and let them know you want to be added to seating list. You can order drinks in the meantime , and a waitress will come over, and take your food order at the bar.
We were able to snag bar seats, put in our dining order and within 20 minutes, our kind waitress informed us our table was ready. I was surprised as I was well aware with the popularity of this restaurant, you must be patient since there is a wait at times.
The staff was beyond friendly including the bar staff. This place is a TRUE supper club. Veggies, pickles, dinner rolls, crackers to start. My filet, cooked to perfection and LOADED with mushrooms. I recommend the hash browns too. Prices are so reasonable. Will return!! I was stuffed when I left this restaurant

We did go on a Friday night .. but getting food was a long and chaotic 'process' - there is no matradis to take your name at this joint... The 'system' is you need to battle your way to the bar and ask to get food... They don't take your name - they hand you a menu, which is supposed to signal to a waitress that you need sustenance and then at some point within the next hour they come to you and take your order.... Then within an hour of that a waitress will tell you to follow them to a table... Needlessly complex and anxiety ridden process - what's wrong with a list? All the staff are lovely though and food was good - nothing gourmet... Decent home cooked meal standard. Overall Ozk but not worth the wait

This is my favorite place to eat in Madison. Great food, excellent prices, and the best staff. Their Wednesday comfort food specials are the absolute best!
Also, the house-made soups are stellar and their old fashioneds go down quite easily.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience. We just moved here and went to Toby’s a few months ago, it was slightly awkward, but the food was good. My boyfriend’s mom was in town this past weekend, so we thought it would be cool to take her to her first supper club and to one that we knew was good! We got there at 9 pm on a Saturday night (after calling to ensure they would still serve us and they said YES), there were still people eating. The burly guy at the bar acted like he didn’t speak English when we asked for a table (very awkward) then he sat us down with no menus, water, or prospective waiter/waitress. Then we proceeded to sit there and watch the waitress we had our last visit (short middle-aged woman, bangs, glasses, dishwater blonde hair) offer the table directly next to us more drinks or food and literally didn’t even acknowledge us. The staff went out of their way to make us feel uncomfortable and like they weren’t going to serve us so we left after being avoided for ~10 mins. We won’t be back to this place. Thanks for nothing.

A classic wisco bar/diner. It’s almost more about the culture and experience aspect than the food. When you want to relish in laid back, simple, straightforward experience you gotta go and belly up to the bar. ~ $6 old fashioned cocktails, martinis and more. The fish fry is very good and they have several types of fish. The fried chicken is spectacular! The fried pickles and mushrooms would be runner ups. I find the place to be unpretentious and relaxing. Service is nice and efficient. Atmosphere is old timey and cozy. For an authentic Wisco Friday night experience… go and enjoy!
Parking: Free parking in lots around and back of the bar.
