Hello. I have been frequenting this block, especially the Up North, for many years, spending hundreds of dollars every weekend. Recently, the owner has insinuated that I am not paying for my drinks, and that staff are incorrectly doing their jobs, among other things. I have a great relationship with the staff, and it feels like one big family when I am there. However, the owner has made me feel disrespected as a long-time patron, and continues to make other patrons uncomfortable and unwelcome. I will continue to come out and support the excellent staff that work hard every day, but I will be starkly decreasing the extra money I spend here (pulltabs, random rounds of shots, etc.) until something changes in a positive direction.

This is inside the Ruby Marie hotel. There’s an elevator from the bar to your room and thats awesome. Bands, brews, patio, darts and granola eating clientele

This is become the go to Bluegrass bar in Madison, with live music almost every night. Positive atmosphere, affordable drinks, really friendly bartenders, and an incredible vibe. It’s a default go to before high noon saloon or other places, lucky to have it as a gathering spot in Madison.
