This place is now closed after a very long run in Madison. It was my fav restaurant in town. Food was wonderful and Albert is such a sweetheart. It will be dearly missed!!! xox

Food was alway superb! I am so disappointed that I missed the last day. I always told Albert he ruined my Chinese cuisine as no one could prepare food like he! All from scratch, freshly cooked. I will miss those Potstickers! This restaurant will be missed. Thank you for the great experienc of eating at Wah Kee! :) <3

Portion was way to small for the price. It was surprisingly good. Didn't look like most chicken.

Excellent Chinese and Indochinese cuisine, sadly the restaurant will close permanently at the end of July 2019 as the owners are retiring.

This place is utterly underwhelming. Service was shocking. Food was overpriced and bland. We won't be back.

This is a great place to go to in the winter. They have the best noodle soup in town. All of the oriental students eat here so it is a good sign that is both good and authentic. I order extra noodles with mine. The best thing to eat on a cold day if you are downtown.

I love this place! Unfortunately, the owner is retiring at the end of July, and they're closing, so you should get in there and check it out. I love this place not only because the staff is awesome, as when you order extra spicy, it indeed is spicy. Madison is losing a great spot, for sure.

I used to really like them. Been going there off and on since 2009. But I ordered delivery and only got two packets of soy sauce. Are you kidding me. Even when I asked for extra I only got four. So I guess I'll have to find a different place to get Chinese food

The food was very good, however the service was awful. Went in for takeout and after the man at the front handed us our menus, he sort of pushed us out of the foyer to the front desk, where he sat right down in the spots that were clearly for takeout customers. Odd but that's fine. We stood awkwardly for a few minutes next to a table with an old bowl of half eaten noodles. After I ordered a dish I politely asked if he had tried it before and he was really dismissive, made no eye contact and just gave a lazy “no I haven't”. Also fine, don't have to be too interactive I guess. Then he charged an amount (about $16) on my card, and left to the kitchen. A few minutes later he says he charged the wrong amount on my card and needed to rerun it. It was apparently wrong by ONE DOLLAR due to him typing incorrectly. So he voided my purchase and recharged my card— for a ONE DOLLAR difference (I could have paid in cash). When I asked for a copy of the reciept for the voided purchase, he said he couldn't do that. He did not even apologize for his mistake and the inconvenience. Later who I believe was the manager gave me a copy of the voided purchase— she was nice however also did not offer an apology. It was a tasty meal, however I would not go again due to rude dismissive service at the front.

The place was very dirty. My sweet and sour chicken was so salty, I could barely swallow it. Waitress brought husbands dinner after i was half way done with mine. Windows and window ledges were reslly gross. Even walls were filthy.

Didnt make take out order although I received confirmation from restaurant. They forgot to make desserts. Food was not very good. Wouldn't recommend them at all.

Food was great. Sat and ordered, then in about 10 mins it came. They use the same noodles for all their dishes but the noodles are pretty good. They use egg noodles most often. They have a wide variety of foods and a huge menu. The place looked a little worn down and kinda sticky at some places but the food is what matters. The place is closing down soon so give it a try!

Wah Kee is the best restaurant in the whole city. It's so inclusive, meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans all have many choices on the menu! Every time I go there I get different types of dishes and all of them have been delicious and the portions are so big the amount of money is so worth it, you get to take it home and have it for lunch the next day. If you have a poor pallet and aren't used to seasoned and delicious food I don't recommend this place it's not meant for people who are boring and bland. If you have been here and have given good reviews you know what I'm talking about! It's delicious! So sad it's closing next month on the 31st.

One of my favorite places in Madison. I love the #19, Cantonese noodles made daily in a perfect broth with delicious roasted pork loin slices, gyoza with shrimp on the inside, with their house made chili oil (must request chili oil); in a bowl so big I could dunk my head in it. On a frigid winter day it just doesn't get any better than this. Also try their potstickers, they are by far the best I've had.

Excellent place! The food is well beyond the quality of similarly sized restaurants!
