I enjoy going to Jim and Linda's for the outdoor music. Beautiful lake view and relaxing. This time I decided to go early and have dinner. I ordered the bacon wrapped pork medallions with a twice baked potato. The presentation was awful. The bacon was a lump laying next to the medallion, the twice baked potato was hard and dry. It was definitely not worth the $27.00. I will go back for the music but definitely not the food.
I can’t stop thinking about the pesto-crusted salmon at this place—it’s the kind of dish that haunts your taste buds in the best way possible. The chef here has a rare gift, cooking it to absolute perfection, with a crust that’s crisp and bursting with flavor, paired with salmon so tender it practically melts. It’s not often you find someone who nails it like this. And then there’s David—our server extraordinaire. He’s got this infectious energy, a great attitude, and he took care of us like we were royalty, always right on time with everything we needed.
If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor and make the trip. We drove over an hour to get here, and let me tell you, it was worth every single mile—not just for the food, but for the stunning Lake Winnebago view that makes the whole experience feel like a getaway. This isn’t just a meal; it’s a destination. You’ll thank me later!

Really wanted to like this place but we were not impressed with the food at all. I ordered fried scallops and for $29 I expected the scallops to be hand breaded, not generic pre-breaded and frozen. The breading was hard and thick and the scallop itself was maybe the size of a quarter. My wife said her ribs were average at best and the sauce used on them tasted more like ketchup than BBQ sauce. Nice atmosphere and good service. Tartar sauce was excellent

Parking: Parking is fairly limited right in front of the building, but plenty of parking at the park across the street.

I dont really wanna write this restaurant off yet... because I'm sure things are different in the summer when it's nice outside and there is more seating available. When I got here at 4:30pm I was told that there would be a 20 minute wait time.... turned out to be about a hour and a half which the wait was in the bar area that was getting far too crowded, there were people standing everywhere and more people coming in by the second. Finally once I got to my table I kinda understood what was taking so long... there was only two of us and we were put in a four person table even though there was a two person table available right next to us! There were also many other tables open for some of the many people standing out in the bar to also be seated... the service was mediocre at best but also understand that alot of the servers were younger and maybe didn't have alot of experience with it yet so I can look past that. The food however I have no complaints.... the salad could have been a little better I suppose because it looked like it was just taken out of a iceberg lettuce bag but the soup was amazing and so was my tenderloin.... like I said I don't wanna write this place off or give them a worse review than what I've already done due to the soup and steak being very very good and I would like to give this place another chance one of these days. But in a area jam packed with supper clubs it probably won't be at the top of my list of places to come. Beautiful scenery though!

Our estimated 30-minute wait extended to 90 minutes. The old fashions were subpar. My king cut prime rib, ordered blackened with Cajun seasoning, and the accompanying full rack of ribs arrived with the steak blackened but lacking the specified seasoning. The rib sauce was unacceptably similar to ketchup. The prime rib itself was satisfactory, cooked to the requested medium-rare temperature, but again lacked the Cajun seasoning.

When some friends suggested that we go to Jim and Linda's, my wife and I were excited. Every time we had been in the past, (5+ years ago) it was phenomenal.
This time? Not. So. Much.
The bar service was slow at the start, with us waiting quite a while for our first cocktail. After the first, the rest came in a timely manner and were good.
We were seated and the waitress seemed, "out of sorts," to put it nicely. We ordered, and within 15 minutes the food came out. The problem? It wasn't OUR food. It was the next table over. Hey, mistakes happen, I get it.
When our food DID come, one of our friends saw our waitress collide with another - breaking glass and spilling water all over his steak. Our waitress tried to serve the steak anyway. Not good.
My steak? It was ordered medium rare, and I guess it was - if you took an average doneness of the steak. One half was medium, if not medium well. The other half? It was so raw I'm surprised it wasn't still moving. The flavor was just okay. Nothing special.
We were promised water refills several times - including after asking for it - but never got it.
All-in-all, a pretty shoddy experience. Apparently, the owners were ill that night, otherwise we would have talked to them about it.
I'd be hard pressed to get my wife or friends to go back.

The food was really good. I highly recommend that Cajun Steak and our waitress was great! If you want a classic Wisconsin supper club vibe with good drinks, good steak and customer service. I highly recommend this place!

The prices are very high, the food is ok. I sent the fries back because they tasted like they were cooked in old oil, I got a baked potatoe and was full so I took it home, upon reheating my leftovers I found the potatoe undercooked. Will not go again. For that kind of money I will go to Schwartz's. Also I had to constantly shoo away flies. Only a few but still no fun trying to keep them off my 50 dollar meal! I also didn't care for the loud and tired 80's music.
