As someone who lived in S. Korea for a year and did short trips to Japan and Guam I can attest to the food being delicious and authentic! My husband & I do Thursday date nights, to avoid the crowds and found Izumi to over half full and saw at least 6-8 to go orders served while we ate. I had the steak & shrimp hibachi while my husband had the chicken tempera, both were delicious and we both had to have to-go boxes.
I tried out the chicken donburi and it was pretty good! The battered chicken itself was savory and warm, the eggs were soft and flavorful, and the rice was steamed to perfection. Would definitely come here again!
Love the sushi here. Have been many places within green bay/ fox valley/Milwaukee area, and am happy that one of the best places is right in town. The selection is great, proportions are decent sized, and staff/service is wonderful and kind. It can be a little slow, but the talent their sushi chefs have is amazing and worth the wait. Plus, it's a popular place and I expect to wait when there are quite a few people in there.
