Best seafood in the Northwoods! All the food is fresh, high quality and prepared to perfection. I love the parmesan zucchini that comes with the meal. Crab and halibut are out of this world! Prices are also very reasonable and service is excellent. Thank you for bringing upscale food to the Rhinelander area!!

ABSOLUTELY amazing food. Wow. This is top notch food and one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The whole restaurant has a great old supper club dive vibe. Service could be a touch faster but I believe they have a small kitchen. The food is worth it though. Best prime rib I have found in the north woods; actually anywhere !!!! It was melt in your mouth and oh so flavorful. Potatoes and zucchini were top notch as well. Can't wait to go back.

We just had our Christmas Party at the McNaughton Pub, and we really cannot say enough good things about the team and the food. Everyone (Chef Conrad, Joe, and Michelle) was very attentive, welcoming, extremely kind, and provided the kind of service you really don't see much of anymore. They make you feel like family. Great job to everyone and thank you for your hard work! If we could give 10 stars, we would. Now, let's talk about the food. It is prepared with the utmost attention and care that a great chef gives to his creations. The salmon (maple glazed!) is the best I have ever had anywhere else, ever. The prime rib melts in your mouth and is cooked exactly how you request it. It is delicious! There is quite a choice of fish and seafood main entrees with homemade tartar sauce, and these are also delicious and something you don't expect in this area! Oh, and don't forget to try the homemade soups - Clam Chowder or Roasted Red Pepper; they are mouthwatering. And top it off with the McNaughty Cheesecake for desert! It is an older building, but don't let that detract from the experience of top-notch service and phenomenal meals. It is clean and there is plenty of space in the dining area, so you do not feel crowded. We have told many people about this restaurant, and as mentioned in another review, it really is a hidden gem. Stop in and try it; you will be delighted that you did! It is our favorite place away from home, and we will definitely be long-time customers!

Excellent meal tonight at McNaughton Pub & Grill. Excellent variety of fish offerings. Fish cooked to perfection, nicely presented and arrived hot. Both the blackened rock fish and the parmesan encrusted cod were excellent. Friendly service. Pleasant dining room.

The food is amazing and way above most of the local fare. We didn't make reservations since most places here don't do reservations on Friday nights and it never occurred to us, but we were seated almost immediately at 6:00. The workers are extra friendly, nice, and way overworked. The service takes a while so don't be in a hurry, but the food is well worth the wait. It is not because people are goofing off or ignoring you. It really is because the kitchen is making the food fresh or by hand. The clam chowder melts in your mouth, the Halibut McNaughton is amazing, even the tartar sauce is great! highly recommend you give it a try. Read some of the previous reviews and it looks like lots of folks are used to dining in the big city. Well, this place has food as good as or better than the big cities, but we aren't in the big cities, so don't expect to have decor, silverware, ambience, etc of the big city. Come for the food and the folks. It's worth it!

Exceptional food. Excellent service from bartender & waitress. Had the halibut & crab. Both a 10. Many pasta selections to choose from. Very good prices. We will definitely return & explore other menu items. The only thing missing was bread or a roll with the fish. Soup was awesome. Great old fashioned service & teamwork here. An absolute must to include in your dining options.

Very good prime rib. Also fish and Italian dishes a great. Nice cocktails at very reasonable prices. Entree prices are very low, especially for the quality of the food. Service is friendly, professional and prompt. Best kept secret in the Northwoods.

A great place in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Try the bourbon burger very good.I like sitting at the bat myself. The table area is a bit bare, but the food, staff, and bar area make up for it.
