“This is a hidden gem in Rhinelander. I am so thankful it exists here! After moving here from a big city, I missed real, authentic, Thai and Indian food. I ordered the special of the day 'green chicken curry', it was excellent!!! Absolutely 5 stars! My husband got a Salmon Poke bowl and loved it. My 10-year-old got a Mediterranean Panini and loved it, my 6-year-old got a bacon grilled cheese (from the kids menu) and loved it, and my baby, who turned one this day got a veggie, pablano, quinoa soup and she ate most of it (it was excellent).”

“This is a redemption visit after a not so great one in August. Tuesday night we came with another couple and had a very good meal. All of us had burgers and they were very good, my husband said it was the best he's ever had. Food came very fast, but it wasn't busy at this time yet either. So we had a nice meal and listened to the Bingo game going on in the bar! I would like to see if a beer list can be printed and available to look at while ordering, the waitress told us we could go look at the list at the bar. which we didn't do.”

“Best place to get schheeneeeockered up dar. Especially if you know the secret code for free shots. Basically it starts with a request for Goldschlager. You then give a wink with your left eye and make a throat clearing noise so obnoxious that everyone in the bar hears you. It’s normal. Once the shot arrives you simultaneously give a double wink with the right eye and a left handed thumbs up in concert. You then say “Jeepers Creepers… Jimmy!!!, Happy Days. Cripes”. Then the tender at the time should oblige and provide several free shots in a row, depending upon your authentic approach you get more or less. Good luck.”

“My husbandI w loves pasties, so I told him I would buy him lunch. We got served immediately despite the customer in front of us picking up 38 pasties! Ordered the Cornish Pasty, which he loved. It was full of potatoes, rutabagas & meat. One of thebest pasties he has ever had!”

It definitely has gotten better and the service has been excellent!The coffee is very good and the food has been okay. Would like to see a few different choices but I generally go for the coffee anyway, so when I pick up food items I can find something that works. ?Parking: You use them all parking lot which gives you plenty of options. I'm usually able to park relatively close to the door to Caribou.”

“We were traveling and made it into Rhinelander a little late, around 7:45 on a Saturday night. We went to 3 other restaurants on the way before this one. 2 had their kitchens closed, and 1 was temporarily closed. We figured we would stop at Club 47 to see if they had food. Vickie fired up the grill for our party of 6 and made us all the best double cheeseburgers we've had on our trip. The bartender before her was super nice and welcoming too. We will be back for sure, and recommend it to anyone traveling through. The locals already know that it's a gem, and they were all great too. Thanks again Club 47, you are the best in the area!”

“The Northwestern Hotel bar and restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Rhinelander, WI! It is like walking back in time when you open the front door. They still serve the best sandwiches and homemade soups in town, and the prices are very reasonable.It is definitely worth the visit.”

“One of the best burgers in the area. The steak sandwich is also great, cooked, like the burger to order. (Make sure to get their fries! A real treat.) Because of difficulty finding staff to work, they have had to recently restrict their days of being open to Wednesday & Friday. Even with that limitation, it is worth planning around their schedule. This is NOT a saloon; it is a 5th generation, family owned, family friendly, bar & grill. The tap beer choices are great & are certain to please any thirsty beer drinkers. Give it a try & make sure to say Hi to Pat & Dennis. They are always there with a smile & a friendly greeting.”

“Kind of an interesting location. So it's called Rhinelander Brewing, but the beer they make is Hodag, the Rhinelander name is owned by Minhas, but there is some sort of arrangement with Minhas to use the name, and sell both Hodag and Rhinelander beer side by side. I had some of both, and had a good time. will be back next time I'm in town.”
