“When I walked into this restaurant, it felt like I was home. The wait staff confirmed this feeling. While at first I was disappointed there weren't many vegetarian items, the wait person and cook worked to find me options. They even committed to exploring new ways to put vegetarian options on the menu. That's service!”

“The food is always so great here. We try to get there for breakfast as often as we can. The service is great! Jen is so good, she comes by and chats with us and makes sure we always have coffee. The waitresses are very nice and polite. The prices are very reasonable. Everyone should try this restaurant if they can. Great Job Jen and company!”

“We travel all over the United States and feel that the tacos at Pat’s Tavern in Rhinelander are the best we’ve ever had. We are from Florida and will go out of our way to stop there on Taco Wednesday if we are anywhere close to Rhinelander. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and tacos are so worth the drive. It’s definitely a 5.0! Yum!”

“I absolutely love Almond Berry,her cinnamon rolls are delicious and her smoothies are amazing,I just tried a smoothie bowl that was delicious. I only live 4 blocks from Almond Berry and it's a nice place to stop after doing my errands on my way home. The staff are always super friendly and it has a very homey atmosphere.”

“I had the Salt & Sun Breve and to say it was amazing would be an understatement, as it immediately turned into a personal favorite I will be asking my local coffee shops to make!

It is drive-thru only which I am always sad about as I love getting to go inside and see their personality.

However, with the line being longer they had someone come out to take our order to stream line and speed up the process.

Highly recommend Birchwood for anyone looking for a wonderful Northwoods bar/restaurant. One of my favorites!”

Jim covers the afternoon shift and makes you feel like you have been friends since elementary school! Highly recommend stopping by.”

“Jailhouse has been my number one go-to since 2004 when I'm in Rhinelander! Randy, the owner, is such a great guy and puts his heart and soul into making this a place where people can have a fun time and make memories. He takes pride in providing tasty food and affordable drinks that he doesn't hold back on. His staff, like Kris and Nicholas, make you feel like you're old friends. My wife, a true culinarian, had to see the kitchen and was impressed that it was the one of the absolute cleanest she has ever seen! The pizzas and tacos are fantastic, and the curds with apple jam are a treat! This has been The Place for my buddies and me all these years, and now it's a family favorite with even my youngest wanting to go when we arrive in town. I appreciate having Jailhouse available to us to fill our stomachs and our souls with wonderful memories of playing pool, watching the snowmobiles and boats go by, and laughing as we just hang out.”

There were some mix ups with our food order, but the manager came to our table, was very apologetic, and did everything he could to make things right!”

“Just went in for supper tonight. Waited about an hour to get our food after ordered. When they finally brought irder it was mixed up with another tabes order. Finally got all of ours. No one ever came back to our table to see how things were. Had to go find someone to get more salsa. Went to bar to turn in coupon and ask for our bill. Finally got the bill and took it back to table. Waiter said hed be right there to get it. Then saw him go outside and smoke a cigarette instead of coming and taking care of the bill. We took it to the bar and pd. Very poor service. The table beside us (which had our food and theirs mixed) was also having issues. One of their party waited a half hour to get his burger after the rest of that table had their food. Extremely poor service All around. It wasnt even that busy / only 4 booths with 2 people in each. Food was good but awful service. Unbelievable that the waiter would go right out the front door where we could see him and smoke rather thsn finish up with us. The other table of people said the same thing!”

“Cozy local pub with great service and incredibly inviting hosts. I travel all through Wisconsin for work, and sometimes walking into a local spot can make you feel a bit out of place but definitely not here. On top of the great vibe, they had a smokehouse buffet going on, and the meat was smoked to perfection. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in Rhinelander! (No pictures because I ate it too fast lol)”
