About White Stag Inn

The White Stag Inn is a traditional supper club that offers a unique and charming dining experience, popular among both locals and tourists. Stepping inside feels like a step back in time, with decor and smell that bring back memories for many. The food is cooked over a wood fire grill and served at a table side grill, with exceptional service. The drinks are a delight, and the portions are decent. The restaurant is known for its in-house made dressing and fantastic wedge salad, which is a staple alongside grilled dishes. The steaks, especially the filet-mignon, are praised for their juiciness and deliciousness, highlighting the chef's skills on the fire grill. The pork chops and chicken dishes, like the chicken "done Dave's way," are also noted for their large portions and wonderful flavors. Families enjoy splitting the 9oz brochettes, which come with a baked potato, making it a favorite for kids. The service is friendly, and the prices are considered reasonable, with items like swordfish and onion rings also receiving positive mentions. The White Stag Inn remains a beloved northwoods institution, where guests can enjoy drinks at the bar before seating begins at 4:30, making it a great place to start the evening.

Have been eating here for 40 + years , decor hasnt changed , menu is the same and I still enjoy driving an hour to get there and still enjoy the food , will continue to eat here for another 40 + years
Wife and I went here for our anniversary. The mood is very chic. I would call this more of a spendy date night as we expected and not a place a child would enjoy. The haddock fillet was dreamy, moist and perfectly brined. The old bay tartar only elevated it. The salad dressings and salad were lovely flavor combinations and the baked potato was a fantastic and humble side. I can't wait until next year when I'm in the area; there's few foods prepared well enough that I dream of...read full review
Tonight (5/10) my daughter and I were met with more kindness and generosity than I ever could have asked for during our dinner here. Alicia, the waitress, was great at making sure we had what we needed and the dressings were absolutely delicious. We got to meet some amazing individuals who sat next to us, so if you are either of those tables and you're seeing this, please know my daughter and I appreciate you (and Alicia as well!)
