“Called in an order went to pick it up and waited for 30 minutes just for the bartender to say “ we’ll it’s been sitting here for 30 minutes “ lettuce was rotten , chicken was soggy. That’s one of many bad experiences. Unless they like you personally … you probably won’t be treated well or even served in a timely manner.”

“Great Northwoods establishment. Rustic log building. Everything a Northwoods restaurant should be. We had take out and drove 15 miles home. My dinner was still hot and was fantastic. Boosted chicken and pork chops are to die for.”

“First time we have been there and came on recommendations of a friend. We looked up reviews and it said to arrive early-- they weren't joking -- BUT-- to arrive and see a full parking lot, bar and dining area (good sign) and the hostess said 30 minutes before being seated. We were a little skeptical when we grabbed our seats in the bar area. We're we wrong -- Almost 30 minutes later the hostess came to get us!As we were seated and dined, we witnessed one of the most efficient run restaurants we have ever seen. Tables were cleared almost immediately as people left and new patrons were seated within minutes. The bartender and waitstaff were very friendly, personable and welcoming. They didn't miss a beat and everyone was attentative to the needs of every table & patron like they were family and giving a very relaxed atmosphere.We had prime rib & tenderloin and to say were impressed & wowed is an understatement.Highly recommend making the trip and stopping for a wonderful meal. To the owners-- WELL DONE! We will be back!!”

We had lunch today consisting of their specialty salad with cranberries, Asiago, and salmon; fish taco special with cheese curds, and Rueben sandwich. I highly recommend Ruby Mays for their unique menu, friendly atmosphere, and great staff.”

“Stopped on our way north tonight and ordered a couple of the Shrimp Combo dinners “to-go”. All 3 different types of shrimp were amazing- plus the soup, salad, potato salad & chippers. Yum all around. Be patient and polite please, people. Like everyone else, they are understaffed. Enjoy your cocktail and chill out. Life is too short to be impatient. And their food it so worth it!”
