I stumbled upon this place while searching on Google and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere is really unique with a great sense of history. It wasn’t overly crowded at the bar, but there was a steady stream of takeout orders — always a good sign! The bartenders were friendly, patient, and attentive, and the food was absolutely outstanding. Even with new cooks in the kitchen, everything came out fast, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the food very much. I took home a carryout order as well. It is just a fun, relaxed, corner bar kind of atmosphere. The bartender/server was great. We will go back!

First time at the old Grog but it won't be the last... we had the Sunday chicken dinner which was fantastic.. four big pieces of broasted chicken.. homemade mashed potatoes and gravy obviously homemade stuffing.. chicken was done perfectly ..crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle.. also had one of their cheeseburgers which was done to a perfect medium.. huge Burger overlapd the buttered, toasted bun by about 3 inches all the way around.. the drinks were good the server was friendly ..will definitely be back!

Typical pub, but after waiting awhile a regular had to toss something at the bartender who wasn’t paying attention to anything but her conversation. Not worth a stop if the service is like that. (Night of July 22)
