After reading some of the reviews, I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance was nice which was surprising for a strip mall restaurant. The service was on point, friendly and fast. It seemed they had it all together. When it came to the food, my friends and I were not impressed. One of them ordered a half salad which she really enjoyed. She said that the dressing tasted homemade. We all ordered different variations on the ravioli. Mine was the spicy Italian sausage ravioli with brown butter sage sauce. First of all the ravioli itself was hard as if it was slightly fried by the butter. The filling was crumbly sausage - I guess I expected something different. I have had this dish at other restaurants and I actually made this myself in Italy at a cooking class. Maybe that's what I was thinking I would get. Sigh. Not so much. My friends' ravioli dishes also left something to be desired. Overall, we were disappointed in our meal. They are willing to give this place another try - maybe for the pizza. As for me, I'll take a pass.

NOT KID FRIENDLY. Have dined here many times. The over dressed man in the three piece suit snobbishly told our 4 year old he wasn’t allowed to play with his dinosaur at the table before we even sat down. Not surprised, he’s been less than inviting on multiple occasions in the past. This was the last straw. Lost your customers for life. Loosen your bow tie a bit, your restaurant is in a strip mall.Kid-friendliness: NOT KID FRIENDLY.

The food was excellent. Really something to make you want to return. The stuffed olives, chopped salad, and bolognese were outstanding. The service was ... odd at best. I've honestly never felt so rushed. From walking in to walking out was less than an hour despite ordering drinks, a starter, salad, pasta and pizza. We wanted a nice night and I felt cheated. We'll be back for the food and because based on other tables enjoying their evenings, I assume our experience was unusual.

Everything you'd expect when dining at a quality Italian restaurant in Mequon, yet pretty well-priced. According to the bill, our server at table 31 last night was a young guy named "Alexander N" whom was really pleasant and well trained. If management reads these he deserves an attaboy.

Food is excellent as is the service. I got a soup which was a special but while delicious it was to spicy for my taste. I asked for some sour cream.I was pleasantly pleased when she bought back a bowl that was less spicy with some sour cream. Unexpected but

We have been visiting for many years. This has become very pricey and food isn't as good as it used to be. The flour less chocolate cake was more like a souffle than dense fudge cake as one would expect. Had an odd flavor too, like it was stale. That's just an example. Overall good, but so pricey it makes me question the value.

The service was very prompt and helpful. Joe explained the evening specials and answered all our questions. The food was piping hot with generous portions. The bolognese was very flavorful and the lamb ragu with tagliatelle was scrumptious. The food is always great here.

We were very excited to try Zarlettis as it had great reviews unfortunately our visit was underwhelming. Our waitress was rarely around . It did seem however the tables around us had excellent service . The pizza's crust seemed a little undercooked which was disappointing. The flavor was excellent though and loved the sauce / ingredients. My wife wasn't a fan of her pasta dish . It had a mushroom sauce and mushrooms in it which she was looking forward to , but the sausage was overpowering . We ended with dessert . The tiramisu was good! Overall I am hoping it was just a one off visit and would like to try it again someday . It would be a distant third to some of the other Italians restaurants in the area like Messinas and Pasta Shop.

Met friends here on a Thursday evening The restaurant was not too busy, we were initially seated next to a table of 8 people and asked to be moved no problem. Worked well as no one the was seated around us so easy to talk. Waiter was not aware that we moved but short wait for our drinks- all were good. We ordered the crab cakes to share and our friends ordered a half salad each. Crab cakes were good. Salads good and very big for a half! 4 different entries ordered and everything was good. All had leftovers from the ample portions so no desserts We will go back!

Upon entering, we were greeted by a rather surly man who barely acknowledged us. We waited for almost 10 minutes to even have our server come to our table to take our drinks orders. The food was fine - nothing extraordinary - your typical Italian American in a suburban midwestern state type of food. My espresso was lukewarm with no crema. The “gelato” was ice cream and too hard and crystallized to be called a proper gelato. We won't be returning.

This visit was ok. It has been awhile since we've been here. This visit just didn't seem to wow us like it has in the past. We had just gotten appetizers this visit and they were just under seasoned and underwhelming. Our server was great though.

The appetizers, entrees, desert were wonderful. The service couldn't have been more professional. We never had to shag someone down to get drinks / water refills. They were always at your side as soon as they saw the empty glass. Highly recommend !
