A major disappointment for me. I was so wanting this place to be awesome. My first clue that something wasn't right was how easy it was to get a reservation for a Friday night at 6:00p.m., 2 days earlier. My second clue was when there were 4 cars in the parking lot and 3 tables of diners at 6:00pm.
The bartender was great and the old fashions were decent. Our waitress never introduced herself and never came back to ask how things were after serving our meals, or if we would like more drinks, and believe me it wasn't because they were busy. We interacted more with "Betsy", the other waitress, who was awesome! The salad bar was not so great. The lettuce was brown, no tomatoes, no cucumbers and the pate was runny. High lights were the noodle and potato salad. The French onion soup was exactly as a previous reviewer stated. It tasted like beef boullon cubes with onions added in, and they give you grated Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top? It was terrible. My entree, 16oz Porterhouse was tough with not a lot of flavor. No type of garnish, just a piece of meat on a plate. Baked potato was dry and blah. I've never encountered a bad dinner roll until now as it was dry and chewy. Our other entree the 5oz filet was the high light of the main meal even though it was slightly under cooked. It was tender and flavorful. The scallops we ordered with it, came in some type of metal trough filled with melted butter. It was pretty disgusting. The scallops were inconsistent as some were chewy and some were okay. If you have other options, I suggest going to them instead.

The food was pretty good, the drinks good also. The service was good as well.
This is a supper club. Idk it seemed pretty normal and high quality to me.
One of our party wasn't happy with the walleye meal, either too fishy or some complaint about the breading being too thick or thin.
Other than that, not a bad place to catch a bite.
Stopped for a drink at this Supper Club bar. We were sad we had not thought ahead to make reservations since they cut off at 25 dinners. Great atmosphere, nice staff, excellent drinks. A really nice spot to sit for some local nostalgia.

Ding a ling is the perfect way to describe our experiences. We initially went on a Saturday in early December - steak was good but the service was subpar. Bill was outrageous for the Northwoods and an okay steak. Second time we went was in late December on Friday. We specifically went for the fish fry since Charlie Berens highlighted the club in one of his skits - it was an epic fail. Fish was rubbery, and our waitress dropped a hot baked potato on my FIL’s lap then just picked it up and put it back in his plate without bringing a replacement. Not to mention the confusion with making reservations. We had to make a reservation on Friday only even though the restaurant was empty. Also had a large bill. Not worth the price, don’t waste your time or money.

To add on to the prior review since I was a part of that group dining there, the French onion soup tasted basically like beef bouillon with sliced onions added that were not even cooked. For the parmesan that is usually baked on top of French onion soup the waitress plopped down the cheese you shake on pizza. No sliced bread in the soup, croutons were in the soup instead. The au gratin potatoes were mashed potatoes with cheese mixed in. Pretty much the worst meal I ever had in a restaurant.

The old school atmosphere is amazing. Food is delicious. The salad bar...seals the deal. We try to visit every time we are in the area. Betsy does a great job behind the bar. Reservations are a must. Go, go, go!

The people that run this establishment are RUDE! We called, and was anticipating an answering machine, instead, these phukes answered and started being rude, right off the bat! If you don’t want people calling, to make reservations @ 8am, don’t have your business phone be your personal phone! Otherwise, you deserve a wake up call everyday!

One of the last of the good old supper clubs. Had Many decades of good food and fun there. That family is the best.
