Sawmill Brewing Company offers an atmosphere that is hard to match in the Northwoods. Delicious beers, a great environment, and knowledgeable and friendly staff make it a wonderful place!

I just opened a Birch Bark brew from my local store. It was a 32 once can. Packaged on 10/22 assuming 2024. I opened up the can poured me a pint. I've tasted this before but could not quite figure it out. I poured a second pint and then it hit me. Dirty tap lines. Yes unfortunately what may have been a great ale turned to dirty tap line taste. I ended up dumping out the rest of the beer. I have been to the brewery in the past. All was well. Sorry Sawmill. I won't spend my $10.00+ on a can of your beer. As a novice homebrewery I know each brewery has a "house flavor". This wasn't that at all. I think you better rethink your canned products or at least spot check your beer for freshness and quality after packaging. I have enjoyed a few beers at the brewery. But this was not good.

Great beer in an awesome historic building. Loved The Legend Wee Heavy Scotch Ale. You'll be glad you stopped here if you like good craft beer.

It's just s fabulous place, barrels of ambiance and a fine range of beers on tap. They are community minded and host many events -frequently in a weekly basis...

Hard to see off main road, it's behind Ku's Wokery.

Visited the brewery and it certainly did not disappoint. The historic building, atmosphere and set back location are fantastic. In addition, the location (outdoors) is very much dog friendly as we enjoyed a number of beers and soda as our lab enjoyed the surroundings with us. The beer is outstanding along with the staff especially Ben the Brewmaster who came out and talked with us for a while. It just so happens we both own Fox Red Labradors in which one of the delicious beers is named after! We will travel the hour south again very soon to enjoy some more. (Also, as we were leaving a food truck was setting up. We hope to enjoy that part also during our next visit)
