I recommend every pup take their parents here for treats. The pup cones are awesome. Everyone is friendly and helpful and quick with a napkin.

Quality of the ice cream is always great. Customer service was a flop. If you can’t deliver service right maybe don’t work in customer service. Asked for a dish & lady at the window didn’t hesitate to snap on me over not letting her know about the dish & then ran out of patience with me. I understand it’s hot outside, but being the only people at the window didn’t have to be so rude & take it out on me. These days I miss when grand stand was Briqs. Let alone treating paying customers that keep you in business to have a job & treat them like that… 0/10. Ice cream quality is what saved the day & knowing people can be crap sometimes when they’re miserable with themselves.

What are your hours and do you close at certain times of the year? I can’t find them anywhere. Food was good when we were here but there is no bathroom, which I think is a disservice as this looks like a newer building. An outside bathroom could have been added and should’ve as a public restaurant even though it’s counter service and you eat outside. I do love chocolate shoppe ice cream and with a bathroom would’ve come here more often as we have to travel here and need a place to clean up after meals. They were out of a lot of food items during our visit but what we got was very good.

Everything about Grand Stand is amazing. However my husband and I have been a couple of times recently and y’all have been closed. The website says you’re open until 9pm and I’ve asked the workers as well when they close. I was still told 9pm. But each time my husband and I have wanted ice cream it would be way before 9pm and you Would be closed. It’s just kinda disappointing. Its still an amazing place and I’m a loyal customer.

I recently had out-of-town guests and we went to The Grand Stand for lunch. One guest commented on the good food and also how friendly everyone was; coming from the big city, he was unaccustomed to such attitudes. It made me proud to be from Merrill!
