If you appreciate history and the beauty of old stonework, you have to visit this supper club/bar. We went last night with my family to celebrate our anniversary. Perhaps a late reservation time wasn't the best idea as the prime rib was gone, in other words, it must have been good. Lovely staff, plenty of seating, so charming how it was decorated in a simple, yet engaging style. My family thoroughly enjoyed their entrees. This was the most disappointing dining experience. I think I’ve ever had! For the extreme price of $50 for a prime rib it doesn’t include a salad many of the sides have up charges and a cup of soup is $11! The absolute worst prime rib I’ve ever had anywhere. The taste was horrible. The texture was horrible and the seasoning was extreme. I literally could’ve bought a prime rib and made it at home that was 10 times better than this. We stumbled on to 1847 on a whim from a google search. It turns out that this is the best restaurant we have visited in the area. Great service, great atmosphere and great food!
