I love chipotle - it is a quick dinner and I usually carry out from the Old Sauk location. However, tonight was awful - to a point I may not return. The food was COLD, not warm, not slightly warm, but COLD. As if the warmers were off. The portion was also half the size. I tried to call, but of course you can't talk to a real person. Instead, they want us to submit a photo of the receipt and answer a bunch of unnecessary questions, which I did. $30 of wasted food. Don't waste your time, go nextdoor.

FYI - The kids working here tonight are making free food for their friends rather than filling my pickup order. They started my order 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. This only happened after I went to the counter while they were all standing around chatting. The food still managed to be cold. Edit: They also forgot our chips. I went in and they would only give me 1 of the 2 bags I purchased. This location has major issues. Someone e needs to step in and run a tighter ship here.

I love chipotle but this location wasn’t it. My server was putting in food like it was coming out of his pocket. It was actually ridiculous how much they were skimping even on the stuff like the rice.

To be clear- I rrate this in comparison to the 'average' Chipotle. This location is unusual for a common chain restaurant. The food is fine, but generally items like grilled veggies have less crunch and have been left sitting longer then the average Chipotle. Every time we order chips here they are very under cooked: either very oily and cold, stale, or stuck together and uncooked; just bizarre given how consistent other Chipotle restaurants are.
The service varies greatly but is significantly less enthusiastic, efficient, and attentive to detail than other Chipotle restaurants. The young serving staff stood around, worked poorly together, and was generally grouchy. Everyone can have a bad day, but we wind up here pretty regularly due to soccer practice and it is this way more often then not over the past 18 months or so.
Restaurant is less clean and well maintained than the average Chipotle, but not dirty.

I ordered a sofritas bowl for my vegetarian son. Instead of a sofritas bowl for Emily Hagenmaier, we received Emma Wein’s chicken bowl. My vegetarian son could not eat this and thus we tried to exchange or refund this abysmal mistake. The AI customer service directed us to the human customer service, which refused to compensate us or correct the error. The food we did correctly receive had ingredients that we did not order, and tasted poor. Be prepared to be extremely disappointed with the horrendous quality control, bad food, and abysmal customer service at Chipotle.
I love chipotle. Unfortunately, on my visit today (8/7/25) the only good thing was the water cup. My food was severely under proportioned and everyone was scrubbing down the whole place with various chemicals. Closing time is 10, we were there before 9. I personally don’t want that in my food. Food was okay, but also when I paid in cash, the employee threw the change across the counter at me. He was a black haired, buff Italian man, who honestly, was glaring at me as I ordered, almost like I was disservicing him. No drizzling change please. Another man that was unprofessional, didn’t greet me, instead stated “what do you want.” Well obviously I want food. These two are a big reason I am not returning. I will be visiting the one on mineral point rd instead. This hurts me, please find a way to cater better to future people. (P.S the head nod didn’t work)

Ordered pick up and half my side of guac was just a hard chunk of an avocado. Really? $5 for chips and guac and I essentially got half an avocado and a quarter-size amount of actual guac.
