Been to this restaurant multiple times. Parmesan Crusted Grouper was excellent as was the Surf and Turf and been medallions. Each cooked as ordered. Vegetables were either over cooked or undercooked which was the only complaint. Will return.
This restaurant has become my favorite. In fact, I have taken guests there twice in the last week - and will do so again next week. Food, service and ambiance are all outstanding. While the Madison area generally caters to the casual diner, I find that Cooper's Hawk offers a “cut above” for those of us who also are comfortable adding a little extra class to our experience. In my several visits, friends have all tried different dishes - and raved about their selections....
Cooper's Hawk is a monthly visit for afernoon wine tasting and lunch with friends. Overall most visits are terrific but this was the second time that lunch took over 2 hours. Understaffed and new staff with no backup from management to keep things moving smoothly for the servers. This will not deter us from continuing to enjoy the establishment but I would recommend caution if you are looking for a quick meal.
