My husband and I went to the café for breakfast this AM around 9. We were told that there would be a wait as there was only one server working today. We put our name in. While waiting, we saw the manager, hostess, and the one server running around doing multiple jobs trying to keep the cafe running successfully. When we were seated, the manager took our order, dropped off our drinks, and she did everything while being very positive, attentive, and very polite. Having been a server, hostess, and bartender in the industry, I completely appreciated her positive attitude while being under a very stressful situation. The food was outstanding, and I highly recommend this for a breakfast spot, even with a wait. People need to be sympathetic to their situation and realize that they are doing their best being short- staffed. The server, manager, and hostess need to be recognized for their positive attitude and professionalism.

I called to make a reservation and they told me I did not need one. so when we got there we were put on a list and waited 2 hours. very rude hostess and lied to us several times to seat other people in front of us and they never did call us to be seated so we were not able to even get a table after two and a half hours we finally just left. very disrespectful staff, very rude hostess and a knowledgeable people who answer the phone. the place seems to be run by kids. an adult needs to get in there and straighten things out

This was my first time ever dining here and my experience was amazing! I’m very big on my servers when I dine somewhere and this lady name Tytii was amazing! Make sure you request her, she was so attentive and always checking on us, just a pleasure to be around!!! You rock!!!

Tytiana is such a great server my wife and I enjoyed sitting with her, we have came to Canal plenty of times but this experience blew us away. Very attentive and don’t mind my corny jokes. Over all atmosphere is beautiful but she makes the restaurant worth coming back thank you

My husband and I came in for lunch -Tatiana was our server and was the best we’ve had in years. So polite, friendly and kind! Although my order came out wrong and then the next time didn’t come out with the sauce requested she went above and beyond to make it right. Wish there were more of her in this world! 😁

This was my first time dining here and I must say I was thoroughly surprised with the food and service as some of the other reviews were not so great. When we first arrived we were promptly greet by the hostess stand and taken back to our seats within a few minutes. Given that it was mothers day, the buffer area was crowded, however we moved through the line quickly. Between my daughter and I we tried just about everything except the cinnamon rolls. I don't have a bad thing to say about the food or the service. Don't get started on the desserts which were absolutely amazing, from the taste to presentation.

We wanted to try this place for a while finally stop an 28.00 for a brunch isn’t bad our server was so sweet but the other servers were not as friendly I heard them complain that a group of 6 sitting across from us should’ve left a long time ago . Plus we tried to eat fast because they were only opened for another hour . My brother left to go to the bathroom and they were cleaning off our table and said he wasn’t done an a server name Makayla told me they are closed a took his plate full of food . I totally get we were a-little late an they wanted to go home. Because it was 2:15 so I was a server an I understand but after paying that much money an tipping our server above 25% you don’t need to be rude. I would say we will not ever going back a that we will have to tell people about our experience.

Well, I'll start.It took a long time to get seated. I would like to say that the waiter was very friendly in professional. But the food was the most Is discussing plate of biscuits and gravy.I've ever tasted in my life. After two bites I stopped eating. The waiter did offer me a box to Go. I declined. I left discussed and hungry. I will not attempt to eat there again.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. 30 minutes to get breakfast. No silverware, it was a waste of money. Waitress was rude!

Absolutely incredible food. We had the breakfast buffet and completely loaded up on so many delicious things. Probably the best breakfast buffet I've ever had. Our server wasn't very good (never refilled our coffees), but what was lacking in service was more than made up for with the amazing food options. The cheesy scalloped potatoes were absolutely fantastic.

My server DEVONTA was amazing he was 1 of 2 servers in the restaurant & he KILLED it! My host ROB was patient & excellent as well. Their customer service alone makes me want to return! My only suggestion is more meat options that are not pork but overall I will definitely be coming back a third time to check out the BREAKFAST BUFFET & enjoy more items from the NEW menu!!

We loved this cafe. It was located down in the main lobby area and we were seated immediately. It was quite busy but the service was excellent. All of us were very impressed with the food and the service! I however was extremely impressed with one aspect that many would not consider important. I have Familia essential tremors which means I have no control over my hands and body shaking. This is the only restaurant I have found that uses heavy eating utensils. They aren't the flimsy ones at most cafe's and diners but quality silverware. I was so grateful as it helped me so very much!
