awesome place, awesome location, awesome beer
Nice bartender a good amount of places to sit and they have a band there on Wednesdays!
There's just too many better bars in Milwaukee to waste your time here. I don't like their social distancing set up compared to other cars, not a fan of the seating (bad on your back for people with back problems) and the selection of beers was lame.
Great place and great atmosphere.. excellent service with an exceptional setup!!
awesome beers and some great food items too!
A beautiful, historic site with weekly live music on the patio, and locally crafted beer. Who could ask for more?
Slick, intimate venue for smaller shows. Great staff and plenty of cold beer. The best example of "my own living room" meets "concert hall" that I've been to in years.
I don't write reviews. I have never really felt like my opinon was so important to sway a person to go to a place or not. But today, I found the review below and it upset me. I go to the Captain Pabst house frequently and so the review confused me. Besides the fact that anyone who gives a restaurant or bar a one star review in 2020, I also find it odd that someone would be offended or upset at a bar because there is no where to sit, because they are trying to keep you safe through social distancing. I am not sure what policies you believe a bar should enact, but no matter what, the bar is in a no win situation. Besides that, I take a lot of personal offense to someone who obviously didn't spend much time there calling the staff "inexperienced. The staff at this bar literally saved my life. 25 months ago, my life almost ended. I was at the lowest point that any human being could possibly reach. For some reason one Wednesday, I walked into this bar. Just to feel like a part of the world for the first time in a long time. I wasn't there to talk to anyone, and I most certainly wasn't there to make friends. But, by the end of the night, I felt more human and more alive than I felt in a long time. Any idiot can pour you a beer, but it takes a lot more experience to understand that the person sitting at your bar is needing much more than a drink. That is what I have found here, a family that I never knew I wanted but that I most certainly needed. In 2020, when every month presents us with a new disaster, let's stop being so mean.In a world that is literally implodng and shocking us in a new way each and every month, let's all
Always a great space. With great staff!!
Definitely an interesting atmosphere, their beers were great for something experimental, social distancing was definitely attempted, but there were quite a few patrons with puppers unleashed, which made distancing difficult because you bet I want to pet that dog!

Great beer selection! Fantastic service and they did a great job at social distancing actions!
Nice patio. Large selection on tap. Bartender was friendly. Parking on the street was close by and it is out of the main traffic area. We went for a baby goat yoga event.
James serves the best beer for every tastebud and the atmosphere is the best in the city, rain or shine. Foodies and beer snobs should delight in this wonderland of food and drink.
Way more than a tap room for the Pabst. Great staff and venue. Great outdoor patio with a fire pit.
I can honestly say everything, I love going there. The staff, the history and that beautiful taproom. That’s not even the best part, the Andecker was always my favorite beer. I remember Big Cat Malt liquor was really good beer back in the seventies. But that Andecker... thank you Pabst, with all my beer loving heart!
