Caroline's Jazz Club | Milwaukee’s Live Jazz, Latin, Blues & Swing Joint

Great time visiting Carolines, small and cozy venue, there were a lot of people when I went. Musicians were awesome, everyone there seemed to be having a good time. There was a $12 cover which I wish I knew, but worth it for the music. Servers came around frequently for drink orders which was nice, drinks were on the sweeter side. Had a blast there.

The host is SO attentive and kind. He made sure we were comfortable and that I got drinks quickly. Overall vibe is cozy and the live music is amazing!

I made a reservation for my husbands birthday (this was our 1st time coming here ; 4 of us) we pay the cover charge just for us to be seated VERY close together in the corner of the bar where the waiters come in & out of the bar area (so we had to continue getting in & out of our seats to move). It was very apparent that she forgot about our reservation & was just trying to sit us wherever. We stayed there for about 20 mins before I went up & asked if we were ever going to get a table , she ended up telling a group of guys that were already at the bar on the opposite side, sitting with their drinks if they could move (they did) so we could take their seats. The looks & comments we were getting because that whole ordeal happened just made us feel super uncomfortable. We also just felt bad that she kicked 4 guys out of their seats. We ultimately decided to just leave & get a refund. The place was very packed , I feel like before charging us the $12 each they should’ve found our table first. We were so sad & disappointed that we weren’t able to watch the jazz show especially it being my husbands birthday. Honestly not sure if we will ever go & try it again.

Could be a fun place to go, but unfortunately Caroline was incredibly rude to our group- so disrespectful that we will never return.

Great atmosphere, wonderful music and reasonably priced drinks; love spending an evening here!

Cozy, gorgeous, really nice old jazz bar. Fun live music. It was a little too crowded on a Saturday night and hard to get a good spot to see the band. Drinks were sub par and cover charge was a little steep.

What a gem of a place! Walking in feels like stepping back in timedim lights, cozy corners, and music that wraps around you like velvet. The live jazz is absolutely captivating, the kind of sound that makes you want to just close your eyes and soak it all in.

Excellent jazz club with extremely caring staff. I had an asthma attack because of the Canadian wildfire smoke last week and everyone was so kind and supportive. Prefect drinks. I've been coming for a while, but now it's my favorite jazz club.

I came here with my wife last Friday for our 1 year wedding anniversary & it was perfect. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, the band was phenomenal. Highly recommend for a perfect date if you love jazz music!
