Absolutely horrible didn’t have lemonade and we couldn’t order any food.
Great atmosphere ok service I was a bit disappointing that steaks are only cooked to medium rare not even medium which is what I wanted outside of steak was medium but inside was rare great steak even better the next day after I re cooked it
Great food good service Cole slaw is something special
We had a last minute 34 people group party, and Brian, Katie, and their team delivered! They were so accommodating to our requests to make our impromptu team dinner a great memory for us. But not just the first class customer service, the food was exceptional! Huge portions, perfect crusts on steaks, and to die for corn bread and tiramisu! A+++ Thank you!
Dear Carson’s,
I was attempting to dine out, solo, at Carson’s Restaurant, on Martin L. King Dr. Whereas, Brian and Katie(Managers) were reluctant to seat me at a table like everyone else. It appears that there were other tables available. I would not like to think that this was one of those unfortunate situations where the reluctance to seat me at a table was because I am an unapologetic black man. I noticed that the few white customers that came after me were all seated at a table. Of course, I lost my appetite for some great food, damn!
I had the salmon on a cedar plank, with Au gratin potatoes. The potatoes were excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the portions were huge, and I had to take some home.
Food was great! BBQ Ribs and Brisket was among the best I've had. Nice location right downtown.
Everything was fantastic. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Atmosphere was wonderful ans the food was magnificent! Another wonderful experience. Didn't expect anything else!
Never disappoints. We were there to celebrate graduation and service was exceptional and food is always amazing!
I'm not sure I'd recommend this place. While the food was okay, the service left a lot to be desired — especially for the price. I had a reservation for two, but arrived after the other guest. The maitre d couldn't find our booking at first and only located it after I gave my phone number. That wasn't a huge deal, but it set the tone. Once seated, the waiter asked the other diner if they were ready to order drinks. They said they were fine with water, and the waiter walked away before I could even place a drink order. Later, when we ordered food, he again started with the other diner and nearly left without taking my order. I had to stop him. I ordered the salmon with creamed spinach but received undercooked salmon with cheesy potatoes instead. When the plates were cleared, the waiter only asked the other diner if they wanted dessert, and again walked away without acknowledging me. It wasn't a busy lunch service, so none of this felt like an issue of being overwhelmed. It just felt like I wasn't being seen. The bill came out to just over $100 for two entrees and a mocktail, thanks to a mandatory 18% gratuity and tax. For that kind of money, I expect attentive, respectful service — not to feel like an afterthought.

Another very satisfying experience at Carson's. Delicious food and cocktails, a friendly and knowledgable waiter, a wonderful atmosphere - what could be better?
Our favorite spot for their Mediterranean pork chop... A good deal for downtown dining but it's a busy time... The managers were conscientious and Christopher was beyond kind... Making our dining experience extra special!
Our waiter Darrin made this a meal to remember, matched only by the Grecian-style chicken. An all around wonderful meal. We dined with two friends that had just had an Anniversary meal the previous day at a very well known and luxe restaurant. That previous meal was just the opposite of their meal at Carson's. They said they are going to try to forget that meal but remember Carson's for its excellence. My wife had the Grecian-style pork chop, a mammoth chop filled with moisture and charcoal tastes. Her previous favorite was from the late Jimmy Jackson but she felt this might have topped it; equaled it for sure. Don had the BBQ ribs and his wife the Grecian-style chicken which she proclaimed maybe the best roast chicken ever. Everything was so good and they comped my wife a birthday brownie with ice cream and whipped cream despite knowing their gift was 6 days early. If only all restaurants had this combination of food quality, service an attention to detail. Empty nesters, we eat out more frequent than most but this meal stood out.
The ribs are just chewy enough, coated with exactly the right amount of delectable sauce. The au gratin potatoes were piping hot and fabulous. There is a reason why their coleslaw wins awards-it is excellent. The wine list is a bit lacking and overpriced, but the food is terrific.
We were in Milwaukee to see a show and to celebrate our anniversary. We sat at the bar and had a great meal. To help celebrate our bartender brought over two champagnes at the conclusion of the meal. That was really nice, until we saw that we were charged $16 for two champagnes that we didn't order. It definitely took some of the shine off the event. We paid the $16, but that move did affect the generosity of our tip. Update: The owner of Carsons called me and apologized for their error. He could not have been nicer, and we will be sure to come back.
