Central Waters Brewing Co. is a historic and visually appealing building that has been renovated into a spacious and inviting taproom. The brewery is located in a stunning 150-year-old German Methodist Church, blending old-time ecclesial architecture with a modern brewery vibe. The service is friendly and attentive, with staff helping guests choose from a full line of beers, including those from the Milwaukee Brewery and Amherst Brewery. The beer selection is excellent, featuring creative options like the Mexican lager with lime called "After Slice," the Topwise tropical IPA, and barrel-aged stouts that many guests enjoy. The Bourbon Barrel Stout remains outstanding, and the Summer Nights beer continues to be a favorite among visitors. Guests can enjoy a flight of beer with a variety of great options, including two "pilot" beers, or order from a food vendor that rotates different food trucks, with taco night being a recent highlight. There is ample seating at the bar, both inside and upstairs, and the ambiance is a mix of new wave brewery and old church charm. The brewery tour led by Frazier is highly recommended for its knowledgeable and personable approach. After the tour, visitors can relax on the patio or indoors, enjoying a great beer and the flavorful carne asada fries from the food wagon, which are delightfully filling. Overall, Central Waters Brewing Co. offers excellent craft beer, a warm atmosphere, and a variety of food options, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
