What happened to this place? It used to be hopping on the weekends. We walked over on a Saturday night and looked in the window to see a guy drinking beer behind the bar and absolutely zero customers. So odd. We opted to go elsewhere. I hear the BBQ is amazing, though so we will try again sometime.

Milwaukee doesn't have enough BBQ around, and this one's so far the best. It's a cozy spot.

Normally I'm lenient on bars because my expectation of bar food is low. This place? Worth stopping just for food.

Cash only, no nonsense bar. Small stage, nice back room with a pinball machine. Order food from a separate counter between 4 and 10.

Bartender gets angry if someone doesn’t buy something even if the people you’re with are buying

They have some of the best BBQ around.Super clean and friendly staff.

I have lived near this place my whole life and heard great things about the food. I am an avid bbq person, kinda particular on where I get it from because it is hard to find a good bbq spot here in the city.I can say that I was pleasantly surprised that the bbq tasted alright. Very smoky, which can be overwhelming to some. I like to taste the grilled flavor and the natural smokiness in my bbq meats and I got that flavor in the ribs. I ordered the ribs combo w/beans and potato salad, but they didn't have any salad so I had to get the slaw. I didn't so much enjoy the beans though. Everything else was fine. I would like to try something different from the menu, so I will return to do that. I waited about 30 mins to get my food, which is a long time, but it was around 9pm when I placed my order and only 1 person preparing the food, so I understand. Just had a taste for bbq and wanted to try Conways out!Overall nice spot, just come early and be prepared for the smokiness!

This is our favorite MUST stop before hitting The Rave in Milwaukee! The food is always so good and the fun band and musician themed names for each food item are a plus! The drinks and service are always wonderful.
