DOC's Commerce Smokehouse

There was a time when Doc's was great, but no more. The bar doesn't have the ingredients to make some drinks listed on their menu, and if they do, the bartender has no clue how to make them properly. Sent the horrible drink back that took forever to make. Switched to a malbec, only to be informed they were out of that too. After repeated efforts to get a drink, my companion's food arrived, but still no drinks. As for the food, all 3 entrees arrived cold. Pork shoulder had almost no smoke to it. Out of towners, please, Milwaukee has so much more to offer. Do not eat or drink here.

Wonderful food, excellent service, clean restaurant! I had a sampler plate of sorts, best brisket I've ever had, the wings were next level, and the pulled pork was moist!!!! Highly recommend this place!

I got the chicken and it was a very larger portion size. Probably a family of 4 could share. That I will say is good but it was not the best chicken and has a few chewy and gooey spots in it. The service was good but they didn’t do a great job filling our water or checking in With us.

Didn’t like the food, overpriced for the amount we got. Don’t order the “pickle chips” deep fried in “seed oils” and tasted gross.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Docs. I placed a carry out order of over $160 worth of food including the meat coma plate, sides and a couple other odds and ends. I was recommended Docs by a friend as my typical go to was closed on this particular day. I ordered this food as a surprise date for my girlfriend (major flop) The sides were all disgusting, cheese curds were dripping in grease, potato salad was watery, beans had no flavor. All of the meats were dry, ribs had no flavor etc. I’m extremely upset i spent over $160 on food with either no flavor or dried out. I will never return nor recommend anyone visits Docs.

Absolutely disappointing. The service here is awful. I waited over 10 minutes for my waitress to even offer me a refill and the staff (not all, but most) act like you’re bothering them just by even being there. For the price of the 2 meat plate, the portions are tiny and to be blunt, not even worth the price in taste. I’ve been here before and had the same experience with the staff and was honestly hoping it would have improved, but unfortunately it hasn’t. I won’t be coming back and I can’t in good faith recommend anyone to come here unless you’re looking for a Dick’s Last Resort kind of vibe.

Poor customer service training, blaming, mis information purposely turned my appetite in knots of discomfort. Even called before I came,,,host Even said hold on let me make sure,,apon my arrival every one is dumbfounded and my time is waisted plus I wasn't made welcome it seems,,,they don't have to worry but enough people speaking out will have an effect. I wish you no success and much illness
