I really have fallen out of doing reviews, but Easy Tyger is so good. The food is flavorful and delicious. I appreciate that when you order ramen to go the fixens are on the side. The bao are very tasty. My favorite is the brisket. Today I wanted to try the banh mi, and I was not disappointed. Thank you to everyone at easy tyger!

My gf got the bao plus the beefy boy and was a fan. I got the gluten free ramen and enjoyed the ginger tamari broth. I was annoyed to see the gf noodles advertised on the menu are just zucchini noodles when I was looking for at least a soba/buckwheat noodle. Atmosphere was relaxed with chill, down-tempo indie music.

Great for a quick bite or even a date night.
If you like spicy food ask for their spice bomb.

Not too extravagant of a place, it is a very simple dining setup. The reason for my review is the cooking/food.

I ordered the miso ramen, and I paid $4 to add on fried chicken, subbed the sous vide egg for a marinated egg, and I asked for the spicy miso broth and I was recommended instead just asking for a “spice bomb”, because I wanted it spicy (which I did). Easy enough. Initially when it came out, there was no chicken but corn instead (which was not an issue. I like corn, and the server addressed it without me even having to ask and said they were bringing the chicken out in a second). Awesome, reasonable. The chicken comes out and it is 3 chicken nugget sized pieces. Basically flavorless even when it went into the ramen. Two of the three pieces were chewier, so I looked in the middle of the third piece and there was still a solid amount of pink…

My partner’s ramen was the “beefy boy” and theirs came with the sous vide egg. They didn’t know they could substitute and they wanted the marinated egg more. So we swapped eggs, and when they picked up their egg, almost all the egg white basically sloughed off the yolk. I just thought it was how they picked it up, so I still ate it. The yolk was ice cold in the middle, and I looked at some of the egg white that had made it into my bowl, and it was like mucus consistency (so very much not solid at all). We got home and we both threw up almost immediately. I’m still not feeling well.

(Also the spice bomb that was recommended was a $2 upcharge. For what it was that’s fine, but I was just expecting some chili oil or something so I would appreciate more clarity on that.)

Aside from the severely undercooked chicken and egg, the pork belly in the bao buns and the brisket in the beefy boy were both over cooked and dry. Flavors weren’t anything remarkable. The lychee martini was not combined at all (super sweet lychee on top, just entirely vodka on the bottom). It was all only okay, but we paid $100 before tip for all of that. Paying $100 for food that we couldn’t even keep down for 30 minutes is extremely disheartening and frustrating. I wanted to give a good review but that meal was just entirely unsafe.

This place has really grown on me. The miso and tonkotsu ramen options always hit the spot. And the pork bao buns are some of the best. I wish they had soju though!

I was very pleasantly surprised with this place. Asian fusion places can be a hit or miss for me but I found the dishes very tasty. Many flavors were still authentic and they have a nice selection of cocktails. Good and warm atmosphere with very kind staff!

Wow! Just wow!!! I was blown away at how laid back the atmosphere was inside, and I was really surprised at how simple the entire experience was to access amazing dishes that are such a beautiful addition to the Brady Street experience; the menu is simple, the kitchen is serious, and the overall product is refreshing and derives from a nontraditional approach of creating Asian gastro-bar cuisine, and far away from the traditional dive-bar experience. Easy Tyger is a bar at heart, and they offer fantastic cocktails [Lemongrass] and a surprisingly impressive wine list - wine flights are also available. A gastro-bar experience is another perfect way to spend your time on Brady Street, and you can expect a casual atmosphere, clean, and with a very charismatic bar setting, which encourages great socializing moments. The bar is great, and the performance of the bartender making your cocktails is a delight to watch! This is a great opportunity for meeting up with friends, casual dates, lunch dates, and casual bar seating. The service is top notch, and the serving staff is very talented. However, the cooking staff also offers their talents in creating nontraditional ramen dishes, flavorful brussel sprout appetizers, and bao buns. Furthermore, this gastro-bar delivers a unique bar experience because the bar is a small part of the overall area, which creates a more intimate opportunity to talk and gossip. The bar is also a great opportunity to start your night on Brady Street, and you will find yourself drinking martinis or wine and eating flavorful apps in no time! Easy Tyger has a great reputation, and their ability to deliver a superior product is a blessing to the Brady Street neighborhood.

The food is great, a simple straightforward menu that has a decent amount of options to choose from but isn't overwhelming. I wouldn't say it's authentic, definitely more Asian fusion, but they don't skimp on the flavor. They have pretty good vegetarian options.
Their fried brussels sprouts appetizer and spicy miso ramen is a must have!
Service was pretty average - nothing exceptional.
