Where do I start! Fred’s is an amazing restaurant all around. Good food, good people, good vibes.

The food is amazing, and the friendliness of the service is absolutely worth the wait. Everything is made to order, which in of itself improves the food. This is not a FAST FOOD restaurant, a small mom and pop shop and feels like family.

Love that Fred’s is still serving the neighborhood after all these years! I grew up in the Heights and have fond memories of a walkable place to get a burger and custard. While not under the same ownership, Fred’s is still a favorite place of mine. The food is made to order and I PROMISE worth the wait! They employee local teens and provide a great place to learn skills and experience. Bring your dogs! They get treats too! Definitely recommend a stop.. eat your desert before your burger and enjoy a table with your neighbors!

Over 45 minutes for two cheeseburgers. Absolutely insane. Children/teens are running the place. I most definitely won’t be back if I have to wait almost an hour for a burger!

Only 2 people waiting and a 1 hour wait time is horrible I’m not hungry now been coming here, 30+ years don’t like the new way of business sit in 86 degree weather get better service at a 3 star restaurant better yet a custard stand because that’s all it is my family will never return it

Best burger spot in Milwaukee. I can't say enough about it. Smash mouth burger is the best. Cook fresh for you. Chili cheese fries. And the special cist float simply amazing.

Same great food like I remember from many yrs ago. I was happy to know the quality and taste is still the same. My fave is the chili cheese fries and burgers.

Great food, great service and cute patio tables with big umbrellas that kept us dry while we ate. Cajun fries are dynamite, smash burger was cooked perfectly, and the custard was silky smooth, we had to bring two pints of the twist home! If you have never been Fred’s you are missing out on a neighborhood gem, it was a real treat for me and my family.
