We really loved our experience at Highlands Cafe today. We’ve never had a bad experience or food, but today was particularly exceptional as it was the first time we brought our boys (2 years and 11 months). We had promised our 2 year old ice cream with breakfast as where we were originally going to go, they have malts. Much to our surprise they were closed, cue the toddler meltdown 🫠 Highlands cafe to save the day! No wait, they made a “special ice cream drink” right...

Usually, this place is always a 5 star from me. The Portobello sandwich has been my favorite since they opened over 10 yrs ago. Today proves why I DO NOT tip online when placing my online orders, I wait until I pick up. This sandwich was the sloppiest I've ever had and is truly disappointing. It may take a while for me to go back, if ever, but I will sit inside with hopes of having a presentable, palatable sandwich.
