I live in Ohio. Whenever I go to Milwaukee House of Cornbeef, it is on my list of places to visit at least twice while i'm there. I have tried a few popular places but none compares with them. I always buy two to take home. But they never make it. I Love this place!

Excellent place to pick up some take-out corned beef, but don't sleep on the rest of their menu. The sandwiches include such classics as a Philly, a gyro, an Italian beef (pictured), burgers, dogs and more. My pick is the Italian, and also the Polish. Veteran move to get a cup of giardinara on the side to pour on your polish.

The Pastrami is great. The corned beef is a bit chewy, in the way that it doesn’t melt in your mouth so you have to chew it a lot. Maybe it was due to a lack of fat. Though I didn’t order lean. I’m not being picky, it really takes a lot to break it down to swallow it.
The bread has a great taste to it. I’ve had it a few times now, I’d order the Pastrami again, (just no end pieces again) but not the corned beef. I’ll stick to making my own at home.
