Whenever a restaurant comes under new ownership, there is always a question of what will happen with the recipes that made it noteworthy. Lucky for us, the new owners (Hannah and Dean) kept what worked and added their own amazing additions, backed by their own developing culinary backgrounds and experiences. For example, along with the traditional sauce that made Lisa's pizza so delicious, there is also Hannah's own dessert recipes, an espresso martini made with Dean's own cold brew coffee recipe and the garlic bread, also created by Dean. While small changes have been made to the interior, with more slowly on the way, you will still find the dining room dimly lit and intimate. Although service was a little slow to start, our girl who seemed to be running the whole show did the best she could. Then Dean arrived, and he did an excellent job engaging and assisting us. He was kind enough to answer all our questions and make recommendations. The large cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion pizza we shared was fantastic and made with a generous amount of toppings. The combo plate veggies had a crispy coating, which kept their texture tender but not soft. The cheesy garlic bread was to die for. One of, if not THE best, I've ever had. DO NOT go here without ordering some! Then there's the Tiramisu. WOW. You could taste the coffee, although not overwhelmingly so, and the cream was fluffy and not overly sweet. Lisa's has been a Milwaukee staple, and it was wonderful to experience the classic flavors that brought us back, as well as new flavors that will keep us coming back for more!

Under new ownership but still top notch pizza. Brighter and warmer inside than before. Mini donuts for desert to die for.

Great quality and amazingly fast delivery. The pizza is crisper than it has ever been and the recipe seems dialed in perfectly. I was very happy them accommodated delivery to Riverwest. Would definitely recommend.

Had 5 different pizzas and all were amazing. Also had the homemade Tiramisu and chocolate cake that were out of this world. I would definitely recommend Lisa's Pizza and will be returning in the very near future

The pizza was excellent! We ordered Hannah's Favorite, The Pesto Veggie, The Super, and the Detroit infused with Pabst Blue Ribbon beer! The crust was crispy and the flavor combinations-super tasty. Service was excellent! Make sure you leave room for dessert! Tiramisu and Chocolate Cake are homemade by the new owner!

I went here for the first time with my family the other night. Hannah's favorite was also ((our)) favorite. Our server was so sweet and attentive. I found them on IG and like that the new owners are doing a mix of classic and new pizza combos. Will definitely be coming back!

So happy to hear Lisa's reopened! Gave it a shot with the new owners and I'm really pleased much of the menu from the Bongiorno family is being carried on. Such a staple in our community.

We were very happy to see Lisa's Pizza on Oakland Avenue reopen. Advice to the new owners, get your act together before you close. What a disappointment, an embarrassment that you allow that quality of food to leave your establishment!

Best ever. Not even close. Hope new ownership keeps it up and doesn't change a thing

First time ordering delivery since new ownership. Two large, two topping (a sausage mushroom and a pepperoni onion) came out to $61.97 before tip. Sausage mushroom pizza was pretty undercooked, but great as it usually is (was) after some oven time. The huge price increase genuinely made us laugh, so that was cool. All good things must come to an end I suppose. I'll miss my favorite pizza place.

Lisa's been our local favorite for decades and decades. The new owners are making some changes but the pizza remains excellent. Gone is the old jukebox box and instead we get an incredible playlist of tunes from the 40's, and 50's. Craft cocktails are being added to the mix. Things are still shaking out but I'm thinking this is all going to be great.
