I absolutely recommend the sushi burrito.. I tried it for the very first time today!! I had the Brewers Burrito and my boyfriend had the Flaming Hot Burrito. And let me tell you, It did NOT DISAPPOINTMENT. Service was excellent !!

I have ordered here more than 10 times and it is always soooo fresh, fast, and friendly. It’s also priced on the low end compared to other sushi spots. I love that the sushi rolls are perfectly bite sized and the appetizers are all $5.

I love that Modern Maki at Zocalo is queer and POC owned and staffed. Everyone working here is so friendly! I love the Fuego Roll, and especially the Shrimp Udon, which they have after it starts getting chilly. It’ll warm your belly every time. Don’t forget to try their boba milk tea! Honeydew is my fav! ?

An honest review is 4.5. The food and the environment was great but the one thing that ruined it for me was the sushi rice. It was just bland and cold which makes the sushi-buritto cold and soggy and doesn't compliment the other ingredients.
