Came in with a group of friends (a diverse group), bartenders were extremely inattentive and seemed to be prioritizing certain people over others. It took over 30 minutes to get a beverage. Later in the night, when the bartender (dark brown hair with glasses-didn’t catch a name) was trying to speak to one of my friends who is from a different country, I tried to explain to him that there is a language barrier and raising his voice is not the way to communicate with him. He immediately said “what, no habla español” in a very demeaning tone and was attempting to be slick. Which he later realized he was incorrect once again, because my friend is from Indonesia and speaks Indonesian. In general, not a good place to be unless you are a young, white, Marquette student.

I’m still confused by this owners response? Calling me lazy and not trying to help isn’t very kind. There are approximately 3,000 Murphy’s Irish pubs in the world so it’s hard to find on social media. I reached out to all of the contact information that was provided on their website.

Dropped in after summerfest because we got lost. The very young bartender didnt know what kind of gin they had. Will stop back after summerfest again for the darts.

Bouncers were unable to tell the difference between a real I.D. and a fake. I’m going to take a wild guess and say the bouncers and quite possibly the owner as well are frequent short bus riders

Then ask the band for their presentatios and follow them. Any place will be better than this.
