Went for dinner on Saturday night. Walked in and there was a $20 cover for the UFC fight. Couldn’t go in to spend $80 on a meal without paying a $20 cover first. Said screw that and went to Olydias instead, but not before watching 3 groups of 2-7 people walk out for the same cover charge reason. At Olydias the icing on the cake….UFC on for free 😂
My husband is a huge soccer fan so we decided to do the rehearsal dinner for our wedding this summer at the Red Lion out on the back patio. It was the most perfect venue and meal! The Red Lion British Pub on Tannery Row offers a classic English pub atmosphere with a spirited vibe. The two floors of seating and rooftop patio provide a perfect setting for everyone. The servers are quick, sweet, and attentive, always making great suggestions. The Bangers and Mash dish features sausages on a bed of hand-mashed potatoes, while the Reuben sandwich is filled with tender corned beef, swiss cheese, and sauerkraut. The Beignets for dessert are a fantastic ending to a meal. The fish fry is a must-try, served with Malt Vinegar over thick-cut fries. The old fashioneds are excellent and kind of addicting, making it a perfect place to enjoy rooftop bar experiences.
Customers have praised the hearty and comforting food, affordable and delightful beer, and the delicious beer-battered cheese curds. The pasty was a hit, and the Caesar Brussels sprouts were also enjoyed. The burgers on Wednesday nights are a popular choice, and the fish fry is a local favorite. The old fashioned special on Fridays is highly recommended.
