A far cry from what it used to be at the previous location. Everything seems to be just warmed up. We heard the beep of a microwave while our order was being prepared. The spinach pie was a giant lump of unflavored wet spinach in the middle of flavorless philo dough. The chicken shawarma was lacking seasoning and nearly tasteless. Falafel was dry and didn't seem fresh. The french fries served with an order of gyro weren't even salted. I really loved Shararazad when it was at Locust & Oakland and we've visited the new location on a number of occasions only to be consistently disappointed. The owner is remarkably friendly and welcoming but the quality of the food falls flat.

Food is traditional Persian cuisine. Nice little restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. You walk in, read the menu from overhead, and order at the register. They call you when your order is ready. You fill your drinks from the soda fountain. It's pretty typical of an American fast food restaurant, with the exception of food and perhaps price - lunch for 3 folks was around $51.00.

Unfortunately, there is limited availability of Persian food in Milwaukee. The food was disappointing, and the atmosphere was lacking.

I love this place! Fresh felafel! Great tahini sauce. Really healthy meals! I tried my partner's Gyro too and yum! Great tzatziki on there. Not a big fan of the styrofoam containers though :)Vegetarian options: Many vegan options but also serve meat - so ask. They are friendly :)
Food was still really good, but atmosphere has changed dramatically since they moved to this new location. It no longer has the cultural flare. I missed that.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. I was visiting from out of town and we had one person in our party that is vegan and gluten free. This was an excellent option for him AND I didn't realize this, but he is actually Persian, so it turned out great. It's a counter service restaurant. I ordered the vegan plate and the beef Koubideh. The beef was excellent! The vegan plate had wonderful hummus, and a salad along with rice. The rice was a little bland but everything else was wonderful. I only wish they had some sumac seasoning.
I was craving koobideh, it was delicious. I got the koobideh combo with double meat, I finished the plate. The rest of the menu looks fantastic, I wanted to try the kebabs, but enjoyed the koobideh.

This place has recently moved and changed their business model, but it’s great. They used to be a few blocks down the road and more of a dine in dinner establishment. Now it’s more like a sandwich/lunch place dine in or carry out. Same great food and just a few blocks from UWM.

A little too expensive. But I love their chicken Kabob. It's very authentic Middle Eastern. It's one of few good Middle Eastern places in Milwaukee.

Being from out of town we relied heavily on customer reviews but man were we disappointed. Not sure what other reviewers had but this was by far the worst Persian food I've ever had. Every meal was way too salty and the meats were super dry and flavorless. Although I had good conversation with the owner prior to our meal I didn't get a chance to tell him about our experience afterwards because he was in conversation with another customer and my wife and son didn't want to wait any longer.

These plates are packed with flavor. The price shows the value of fresh ingredients and balanced recipes.
