They are using microwaves to cook and warm up food.The bar b que chicken was so under cooked, I thought it was going to get up and run away. I can't believe that they would represent African American food this way. Soul food is a staple thing for African Americans but, this is really far from Soul food. Smh

Ordered the rib tip dinner. I'm disappointed. The meat was tough when I used the plastic fork to pickup meat it broke. Mac n' cheese was tasteless, collard greens were bitter and there were more juicethan yams in the container and they were extremely sweet. I didn't taste the banana pudding. I gave it to my grand daughter that loves banana pudding. She took one bite and threw it in the trash. I tossed the rest of food in the trash $23.00 wasted. I'm sooooo disappointed ☹️. Just speechless ?

Staff was rude, would not take phone order and not helpful with questions. We were going to order food from here for my birthday which would have been about $200. They need to have better customer service before they go under.

The food was delicious. Smothered pork chops, dressing and yams. Very good. All the way from Texas. This is definitely a place to visit for some great food.

I ordered Rib Tips Mac & cheese & yams & dressing through Uber Eats. The rib tips were very tough & full of fat the greens I received ( I guess in place of my dressing I didn't receive) were salty. The Mac & cheese wasn't tasty & the corn bread was soft & crumbly. Sorry but I don't want to order from here again.

By far the worst soul food place I even been to all the food was old they have it in microwaveable containers and take it out the refrigerator and put it in the microwave in my face I should have got my money back when they did that but I didn't when I got home and open the smothered chicken and it was hard and dry no seasoning at all the green beans was half done don't waste your money with them.

Taste of Life Soul Food is by far one of the best upcoming Soul Food restaurants I’ve tasted in Milwaukee. Not only was the food beyond delicious, but the customer service and culture was A1! (Y’all know it’s hard to find GOOD food and BETTER service) Taste of Life captures it all and makes you feel warm inside before they send you off with one of the warmest of blessings your taste buds have ever received. Gone head and head down 27th to National and up the stairs to a special delivery from heaven.❤️

Great food, the place is located inside a church just in case you had a problem finding it like I did. I ordered 3 dinners with sides. The yams are great!!! Mac and cheese (not baked) is good, potato salad has a nice twang to it, Pot Roast was tender and well seasoned, Meatloaf looked good, and also got rib tips. A were good and tasty.
