This is for the Vliet Street location. I have hit up this place about 5 or 6 times over the last few (winter) months. I absolutely love the variety of soups. I will generally pick up a bowl and 1/2 sandwich for lunch and get a quart of something different to take with me. The food is delicious, well prepared and filling. I never thought I would say that soup was filling but it works for me. Need a cozy comforting lunch? Hit up The Soup Market.

My favorite lunch spot! The owner is very energetic and personable, which makes me come even more! A great variety of soup options, salads, and sandwiches (oh and of course a rice crispy treat to-go) to choose from!

Great soups and sandwiches. Salads are pretty good too. A bit pricey, but what isn't these days?

If I could make a suggestion it would be to have the vegetarian tomato bisque available everyday, all day! This is a fantastic soup! Five stars for food! 4 stars for Service and Atmosphere! The service and atmosphere could be better keep your employees off their phones unless it's business, And have a little Carisma when it comes to dealing with your Customers!!! This is very important! I have been to 2 locations And found the same results. When you walk into a business and employees are on the phone. It's OK but when you find out they're just talking for the sake of talking and it has nothing to do with work,to stand and wait for someone to get off the phone is very frustrating this happened at both places. So in the end you'll have all five stars if you show me a little charisma next time I come in l o l!!!FANTASTIC SOUP!!! FANTASTIC BREAD!!!

The soup here is absolutely amazing. So many options and I got the feel it's all made with love, patient love. The cornbread muffins are so amazing that I had to mentally apologize to my late grandmother for comparing them to hers. You better get there early, if not you will miss out.

Soup was very good. Small seating area was lacking in decor and functionality for a family of 4. Server was unfriendly.

I'm not sure why this place has such low reviews given what I've seen, and it seems as though some of these reviews are not even *for* this location (Vliet St)?Yes the wait was a bit long, but I arrived just after noon so that's not surprising given both the time and weather (dreary, rainy, overall perfect soup weather). The soup I ordered (a quart of Chicken Noodle and a bowl of mushroom barley) was hot and delicious, and so was the toffee cookie I got. The woman working behind the counter was very friendly. My only complaint was that she was working by herself trying to keep up with everyone coming in so I'm sure having an extra person on staff during the lunch rush would help mitigate the wait times.Overall, great experience for my first time in. I was admittedly scared off for some time because of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to ordering from here again soon!Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian soup and sandwich options available; saw at least one vegan soup as well. All were labeled appropriately in their names for easy identification.

It's been a while since I've been in to get soup at the Bay View location. I was glad to see that African Chicken Peanut soup was available today and it is as good as it has always been.

Should be called the canned soup market. Awful soup, bread and service. The place smelled of something rotting too BTW..
