Reminiscing on a great trip to a small town diner- and my first "Poor Man's Bloody"! What makes it a Poor Man's Bloody? Well, it's made with beer instead of vodka - basically a Michelada. At the Red Rooster Cafe situated in the heart of Mineral Point, you can get theirs for $6.50 and it comes topped with a pickle and garlic-stuffed olive. This one was spicy, but you could definitely taste the beer too. You all know I'm not the biggest beer fan, but this was pretty good! A great twist on a classic, but make note that it's the only option here. If that doesn't entice you to visit, I hope their classic diner vibe and Cornish pasty does! #BobsBloodyMaryBucketList

A must try when in Mineral Point or even just stopping through. Dig into an authentic Cornish dish like pasty and figgyhobbin. They even offer vegetarian pasty - best with hot sauce but some prefer ketchup. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. You can also get breakfast here including huge cinnamon rolls. They have stool seating and tables with a clear glass window in the back where you can take a quick peak at where the cooking and prep action happens. Friendly, quick service and unique cuisine.

It’s a cool restaurant, love the interior. The food is average, you get what you pay for.

Definitely get a lot of dive bar/diner vibes here, very dated deco and interior. Service was decent, but the food has a lot to be desired. We got biscuits and gravy and a pasty with hash browns. The cheese on the hash browns was just a melted Kraft single and the sausage in the gravy was a cut up sausage patty. Very little flavor in everything. Pasty was quite dry.

A quaint Cafe with local flare. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. Made us feel like old friends. Had the pie and ice cream last year, but returned to experience the figgyhobbin. Recommended by other artists during Mineral Point's annual PleinAir event. It was amazing. If you are anywhere near Mineral Point, this is a must.Parking: Parking can be at a premium during touristy hours. However, this charming town deserves to be strolled after your dinning experience.

The food was perfectly Wisconsin excellent Cafe food. The cinnamon bun was served with butter and was warm and cozy. The Scrambler was a bed of hash browns topped with scrambled eggs bacon and cheese with a side of toast. What a great way to start the day. Service was friendly and efficient. We loved sitting at the counter at this old fashioned Diner.

Nice, easy diner. Food was good, but it seemed to take a while for the food to come out. This isn't necessarily bad, just good to know ahead of time.Service was great and very attentive! Never had to ask for anything extra, it was all volunteered. Coffee cup never more than half empty.

Pasty and soup. Not a good pasty, pretty dry, and weird meat. Butternut soup was nothing special.
