“A Heartfelt Tribute to Cafe 43 in Mineral Point For several years, I've collaborated with Cafe 43 for my annual customer appreciation event at Thanksgiving. Each year, Molly and her team surpass my expectations with their exceptional service, warmth, and phenomenal baked goods. Molly stands out as a beacon of grace and hospitality. Her presence adds a special touch to the cafe, making every visit memorable. Her kindness and dedication are truly inspiring, creating an atmosphere of genuine care and hospitality. Cafe 43's recent hosted baby shower for me which was a testament to their excellence. The team's attention to detail was evident in the delicious food and the inviting ambiance they created. Molly's involvement ensured that our special day was flawless and unforgettable. Molly and Cafe 43 are not just a part of Mineral Point; they are an essential heartbeat, bringing joy and exceptional dining experiences to our community. Thank you, Molly, for the unwavering dedication and the enchanting moments you create at Cafe 43.”
“First time here, but not our last. The hotel, bar/restaurant, food, and service are all top notch. Jen served up some great fish and tasty Brown Pointer Dog local brew. The rich history and architecture gives these excellent accommodations extra character. Mike and his dog Octavia are wonderful hosts. Soooo much attention to the details for guest comfort. We love this place, had a wonderful time and can't wait to return. Hold down the fort Octavia and watch out for those mail carriers. ?”
“Reminiscing on a great trip to a small town diner- and my first "Poor Man's Bloody"! What makes it a Poor Man's Bloody? Well, it's made with beer instead of vodka - basically a Michelada. At the Red Rooster Cafe situated in the heart of Mineral Point, you can get theirs for $6.50 and it comes topped with a pickle and garlic-stuffed olive. This one was spicy, but you could definitely taste the beer too. You all know I'm not the biggest beer fan, but this was pretty good! A great twist on a classic, but make note that it's the only option here. If that doesn't entice you to visit, I hope their classic diner vibe and Cornish pasty does! #BobsBloodyMaryBucketList”
“I first must say that I have dined here at least 6 times in the past 30 or more years, and I live more than 3 hours away. I love Mineral Point and I love the Red Roster Cafe. The building used to be a bank back in the 1800s, I believe it is still the original ornate tin ceiling. This time my wife and I were doing the Fall Art Tour in the area. We arrived at the Red Rooster about 11:45 AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Sat at the counter, tables all filled. Of course the main idea was to have a pasty. This is a great place! Everything nice one could say about a small town cafe, this place has it. Very cozy, reasonable prices, very friendly service, prompt service, great ambiance, cool vibe and excellent food. It's all here. My wife and I both had a pasty, the individual, not the pie cut one. They are large and very filling. Ask for gravy with it, that's the best way to eat one. The pasty also comes with rolls and a Tuna Mac Salad for under $11. Coffee here is also excellent, bottomless cup. We shared a dessert of Bread Pudding, they make it great here, the best Bread Pudding as well. Thank you to all the staff here for a wonderful lunch!!”
“I’ve seen comments about the owner being rude or short. Hard disagree! As a Bostonian, I just found her honest, and efficient with her sentences ?. Definitely countercultural to the Midwest though. She knows that her place is great, and she doesn’t need to prove it! She’s the only one working. Serving drinks, cooking, cleaning tables, waiting. Honestly impressed. Burgers are amazing, but the broccoli bites were incredible. Super cheap too. Cool atmosphere. Definitely a great place to stop!”
“I adore this restaurant a lot. theres a happy feeling. The kitcen is good. the service is effective and the team is polite. The pay is decent. I highly recommend.”
“The service and food is always great here. Food is hot, made to order and correct when it gets to your table. It’s a casual atmosphere with many food options at a good price. It’s one of my favorite places to eat in the area.”
“Great food at very affordable prices in little Mineral Point. Innovative wood fired pizzas and super fresh not your "run of the mill" salads. Other entrees also available that I've had previously were also very good. Friendly service and wide cocktail selections.”
“What an adorable market/coffee house! Awesome welcoming atmosphere, the two employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We stopped in on a holiday Sunday, and did not think they would be open and they were - yay!-- Much to our surprise! We do not live in the area, and we're thankful to get some fresh delicious coffee and baked goods. We decided to try the triple ginger cookie and the oatmeal raisin cookie. Fantastic- both of them! Wow, so good and savory. Fresh, moist, perfect amount of crunch and softness. We also got a couple of coffee to go, a regular black coffee, and one of their latte specials, the roaring 20's. Really good! I could definitely see coming here often if we lived in the area. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. The market has a lot of fresh breads, baked goods, light food, as well as local fare for sale. Would love to come back and try more again. Really cute store!Parking: We found street parking right in front of the local market, there may be a parking lot in the back but we're not able to check.”
“Corralejo hits it out of the park every time we eat there (weekly)! The food is delicious. We especially love their house made chorizo, molcajetes, guacamole Mexicano, margaritas, and the palomita. The servers are helpful, accurate, and attentive and yet give you space to eat your food. Definitely give it a try.”
“Delicious meal and a wonderful atmosphere. Our server was great. I wish we could take this place and transplant it to where we live. We would have it in the "rotation". Really a special find for us on vacation.”
“Steph made the most beautiful cookies for my granddaughters Baptism. Not only were they beautiful but they tasted amazing! Steph is so easy to work with!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“My husband and I decided to try Cafe by Country Kitchen. They had a buffet for breakfast, and it was wonderful. The food was hot and always filled. The other thing I want to relay back to all employees is that thank you for the kindness you gave me and my Emotional Support dog, Rusty. Everyone smiled at me and said hello to Rusty, including the customers. I had a bad experience in a different eating establishment, where an assisted manager told me my dog was not allowed in their restaurant and we needed to leave. I showed her my official letter from my doctor and she said we still had to leave. Thank you to everyone at Cafe by Country Kitchen.”
“This is an awesome old-time bakery. The pastries you get here are delightful. I don't know what they put in them and I don't want to know but they are always a home run. Been coming here for years.Parking: Park around the corner on the side street.”
“A clean, well managed pub. Local brews on tap, a good selection of bottled beer, and spirits as well. Plenty of seating. Good bartenders and the owner Denny is top-notch!”
“I loved this place! The food was unique without being too weird and was delicious. I loved that they had homemade lemon meringue pie as it’s a favorite of mine. The staff at was friendly and the service was quick. I loved the atmosphere. It made for a perfect cute romantic lunch. I wish I lived closer so I visit there frequently.”
“Lauri and her staff were friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful and I am still receiving compliments on the food provided for my Mom's funeral meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you!”
“Awesome bar! First time ever in Wisconsin and I this place was so welcoming. You don’t get this kind of experience in a major city. I also got to meet the owner Jeff lol yes Jeff is a real person.”
“I ordered two subs, on-line, with coupon code. After placing order, I realized I hadn't changed pick-up time,, so called, but the gal had already in the process of making them. That was fine - said we'd just be in a bit later, to get them. When we got them, I left one in town, for my son, and we took ours home. My son called, letting me know sandwich wasn't done...missing tomatoes, some bacon and mayo - on a BLT. Ours was perfect, and delicious, as usual. Contacted the manager, Tad. Great upbeat fellow, with concern, kindness and a true people-person. He gave us options and my son was able to drop by, a day or so later, and pick up a completed BLT, at no charge. Now, THAT, my friends, is a great manager and company. Thanks so much, Tad. You are awesome. Joan”
“A nice bar with great service. Friday fish fry selection is one of the best. Great burgers and pizza too. One of the only businesses in Dodgeville that offers delivery.”
“The best Chinese food in Dodgeville. A vast menu offering dine-in or take out. Some of our favorites are the crab rangoon, pork w/mushrooms, beef lo-mein, and honey chicken.”
“Came for dinner and there was a delay with our order. Didn't say anything to the staff about it, but they gave us coupons for two free tacos for the inconvenience anyway. Great crew”
“I wish it was bigger like the one in Platteville is anymore but I like that they with the drive up added parking spaces just for drive up to wait for orders but at same time I don't think they need so many online order pickup ”
“The interactions are very nice, the workers can be a little talkative.Parking: There is only a out 20 parking spotsKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly in the way the people were very nice and you can get toys”
