Really a hidden gem just off the snowmobile trail. So glad we came across it. Really good breakfast complimented by great and friendly service.

Went here for breakfast. The menu said my and my boyfriends plate was $15 each because we got the same thing. When I got the bill, it was $30 each, not including any add ons like drinks or hashbrowns. The service was terrible. Had to wait 10-15 minutes to get a box and my bill. It wasn't even busy, they only had three tables including us and one of the tables left. The waitress decided to go talk to some regulars instead of helping us. Terrible experience. The worst is having menus lie about the pricing. No reason to spend over $60 for breakfast for two people when we didn't get anything extravagant. I would give this place 0 stars but apparently I can't leave a review unless I put 1. The food was good so at least the kitchen knows what they're doing. But we won't be back, ever.

The food and ingredients are of the highest quality but with that said you get what you pay for so it is probably the priciest breakfast in the Northwoods. It’s really good food but I felt like I had a 25 dollar snack as opposed to a hearty breakfast. If you have the expendable income come here and eat it up. If not there are cheaper options in the area. With that said I don’t know if any restaurants on the island are worth it anymore I’m willing to bet most of these places are getting priced out by high property rentals.
Island Café in Minocqua is an absolute gem! I ordered the Greek omelet and it completely exceeded expectations. I honestly never realized how much variety there could be in feta cheese until this meal—the feta was outstanding. Creamy, flavorful, and clearly high quality, it elevated the entire omelet to something special.
Everything was perfectly cooked, fresh, and comforting in that classic café way, but with an extra level of care and flavor that really stood out. If you think you’ve “had” a Greek omelet before, think again—this one is worth the stop all by itself. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

This place is on point for omelets and pancakes. Omelet was loaded with toppings, unlike most places that skimp.
Pecan pancakes were unlike any.
Staff had an awesome energy that felt good to be around. Julie and Jen were constantly smiling while not missing a beat.
Keep it up Island Cafe, we'll be back.

We had two meals here during our 3 night stay; both were “late” breakfasts. The menu here is full of healthy choices (I’m a vegetarian) & the subtle aspects of wonderful Greek food touches on a few of the entrees. The staff here is uber-friendly and very tuned in to the locals as evidenced by “regulars” coming in to get delicious treats from the selection of muffins & cinnamon rolls. After eating here just as a couple the 1st day, we brought our friends (3 other couples), back the very next day. Awesome!
Stopped for lunch. Sign says open till 2 pm, but they put up a closed sign on the door just before noon. Shame, might have enjoyed the food...

Got breakfast here on vacation before moving on to our next destination. The food was great and came out fast, and servers were very friendly. The deocration inside was great, too. Highly recommend!

Worst service I had in my life. First servers messed up our order so we waited 25 minutes for breakfast orders, then they brought my wife an undercooked poached egg. Stay away from this place
