“spending Spring break in Minocqua with family. Tried a new to us Pizza place. if you have not tried Minocqua Pizza you have got to give it a try. I must say one of the best pizza's🍕 I have had. We tried the Mac and ches, chicken bacon ranch, BLT and an order of Billy bread. The whole family was unanimous, great pizza. we will definitely be back.”

“Usually we try to avoid the tourist areas, we stopped here for breakfast on Sunday morning. We’ve driven past for years but decided to stop. Very nice diner style restaurant with a clean well lit interior. Friendly staff greeted us quickly with some waters. Large portions at a great value. The Greek omelette was fantastic, I recommend the humus, it has an amazing flavor. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”

“The workers today (7/25/2026) were finaminal and thats an understatement!! The amount of positive vibes just walking through the door, my son played with one of the workers daughter while my mom and I ordered and he gave him a few suckers for being nice ans playing with her. The 2 teenage boys working as their first jobs were incredible as well!! Keep up all the positive vibes and good suggestions!!”

“We enjoyed a most wonderful dining experience last night at Knotty Barrel. Taylor was our server & she was excellent. All of our dinners were delicious, and we loved everything. “We Love this buffet! Clean & good food. Never had a bad meal. They changed their spring rolls a few years ago & not as good. Doesn't stop us from going here though. Bathrooms could use some remodeling/attention for sure.”

“We vacation in the Northwoods fall and winter, and "The Whale" is almost always our first stop when we hit town around Suppertime on our way into town. FIRST, our server Sophia, was wonderful...on the ball, quick, friendly. This year, we noticed a couple changes that we didn't care for. The problems were (1) we were there on a FRIDAY, and the "Friday Fish Fry Menu" doesn't give people many food choices if you don't want fish, shrimp, or clam chowder. I had my heart (and stomach) set on their DELICIOUS sandwiches that come with their home-made chips and Au Jus dip. There used to be at least TWO of those on the menu...they were no longer offered on Friday nights. (2) We opted for the Friday Fish Fry, and were asked if we wanted tarter sauce and/or a couple other choices. I said YES to regular Tarter, and my wife took that AND the Honey/Mustard. When our bill arrived, we found that we were CHARGED $0.75 for EACH of those. REALLY? I've never been to a place that didn't include a lemon slice and tarter sauce by default as a normal part of the fish-fry plate.”
