Family dinner out for a Friday fish fry. Both service and food were amazing. The haddock was cooked perfectly and the potato pancakes were homemade and the best I have ever had (and I'm picky!). The salad bar was a bonus- cold, fresh and well stocked. Beautiful lake views as the sun was going down. Highly recommended.
Saturday night. Had reservations. Best lobster bisque ever. Fast service. Seated immediately. Server and hostess friendly and helpful. Prime rib very good. Definitely will return ?
We were here last evening for our first time with family that lives in the area. The food was delicious but the way they handle mistakes is truly not acceptable. My brother ordered the salmon blackened and when our orders came out it was NOT blackened. When the hostess went by we told her then the waitress came and asked if he’d like what he ordered. She said she would bring it asap. The rest of us ate and then his food finally came. No apology, no removal of the wrong order from the bill. No offer of a free dessert for the table nothing to compensate the inconvenience of their mistake. Good food but no customer satisfaction or care. In Chicago when a mistake is made on the part of the restaurant they remove the item from your bill and offer something or at the very least offer an apology. Very poor customer service.
First time for us here. Very accommodating will definitely be back. Food and drinks were superb view from the dining room is beautiful. Enjoyed the panio and singing. Crab cakes appetizer was wonderful
My family comes here for dinner once a year, very friendly & accommodating staff and impressive views from the dining room. My parents enjoyed their fish & steak entrees but I found my broccoli cheese soup and my steak medallions to be over the top salty. We'll keep visiting this restaurant every year, I might ask them to ease up on the salt in the future though.
The good..Friendly, great service, fantastic Old Fashioned cocktail, fresh and well optioned salad bar.The bad..Two 12 oz sirlion steaks were ordered medium, but both were served well done. Waitress kindly reordered. Round two: Both steaks were well done again, meat was tough, grizzly, bad texture and tasted like they were steamed not grilled in any way.
We were told when we arrived that it was an hour wait so we waited at bar and ordered some drinks. The couple next to us was eating at the bar so we decided to ask the bar tender for menus. The man who waited on us was named Jeff, he was nice and took our order and delivered our food. After that we didn't see much of Jeff. The other bar tender was a women and she didn't ask us if we needed more drinks and never looked at us. We asked her for another round of drinks and we also needed salt for our meal, and she seemed annoyed with us never really saying anything when we asked for things. When we were finish i put my card on the bar and got my coat on. It was very obvious she was ignoring us. So I finally asked for our check and she took my card and when she returned with my credit card slip to sign she slammed it on the counter and walked away. I have been a server for many years and have never treated anyone like that in a business I work for. Our bill was $81 and That is the service I get??? Food was good but the service was terrible!
Nice dinner with a sunset view. Staff very friendly and food well done. Entres come with salad bar (great variety) or soup (the day I visited was beef noodle soup, and was delicious). I ordered chicken Parmesan with marinara sauce (you can pick Alfredo sauce as well) and was perfect. My husband ordered sirloin and was cooked the way he ordered. As appetizer, coconut shrimp with pineapple chili as good (Forgot to take picture)
Awesome place with great food and cocktails. The prime rib was outstanding, pair it with an old-fashioned and I hope you didn’t wear nice socks because they’ll be knocked off. 12/10 would recommend.
Delicious food, great service

First...great view. Every table at Prime looks over the lake, a major plus. Like the service, the old fashions were okay. The salad bar was well stocked. My friend liked the vegetable ham soup. This is a fairly pricey place, my wife got the tenderloin which was good, dry but very tender. I saw blue gill on the menu and stopped looking, at a high end joint it had to be great. Unfortunately, the blue gill was very lightly breaded and soaked in oil. It soaked right threw the paper, I did not finish the 6 small filets. The loaded potato was great, I did not go hungry but I will wait a while to go back.
Good, but fish and potato pancakes were cold
Our first time back in years since this place was Mama's Supper Club. Our friendly and hard working waitress, Britney, was exceptional, paying close attention to details. Not an extensive menu, but the typical choices were offered; steaks, seafood, pastas and the first salad bar we've seen since the pandemic changed our lives. Fried shrimp (not offered as such, but kindly made into a meal) was the best in memory. The extensive cocktail options (a flip chart on each table) were impressive. It was so nice to enjoy a view of the lake, although as the sun shifted, we were wishing for a more efficient window shade. Enjoyable view, nonetheless. We plan to return, and will recommend Minocqua Prime.
I really enjoyed my first experience here! The drinks were clearly fabulous since I had three ☺️ The bartender was great and very fast. The food was very yummy as well. Loved the live music and the sunset view over the lake. The only thing was the server was a little slow for not being that busy. I will for sure be back to try the steak next time.
Excellent prime rib, beautiful view, decent service, but classic supper club slow and overpriced. The ribeye was quite fatty and flavorless for a ribeye. Garlic potatoes made from real potatoes, over-seasoned with garlic. Salad bar is quite weak. Stick with the prime if you’re going to eat here to make your experience worth the time and money.
