This place is great! One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. On top of being delicious, the prices are very reasonable. By far the best breakfast and prices in downtown Minocqua. Wonderful atmosphere and filled with locals. The coffee was delicious too! I'll be back whenever I come to town.

As a native Thunderbird that has a migratory personality, I have been coming here since the very beginning. Atm I am back again after a year away doing that migratory wanderlust thing, And am sitting here enjoying my cappuccino and bismark on this comfy nest-like couch. Reading about Yoga, with a Stephen King book for backup, listening to fabulous bluegrass music, enjoying the art and super friendly staff. My recommendations for visitors: if you like choice service and seating get here right at opening or at odd hours as they are always packed otherwise. Best !

Been going here since we moved here. We love Great Northern Coffee Traders for a multitude of reasons: super friendly staff, organic options, good music…veggie cream cheese so good you’re gonna want to lick the bowl! We come here nearly every Sunday after church, and sometimes for a mid-week treat. There’s something for everyone and we have never been disappointed. Prices are more than fair and they don’t skimp on anything (a side of fruit is literally a bowl of delicious fruit with tons of variety -clearly not some crap dumped out of a can like other places). Go here and you will not regret it! Bonus: there’s games for everyone, kids books, coloring supplies…as a mom these are gold when I want to go somewhere but also want my kids to be occupied while I leisurely sip my latte 🥰

Great cup of dark roast coffee and yummy quiche in a relaxing atmosphere. Nice spot to stop and enjoy.

Great coffee shop right in downtown Minocqua. Ordered curbside via telephone call and a barista brought our coffees right out. My latte was perfect

This is one of my favorite spots. Excellent ambiance, great service, awesome food! You will love any one of the sandwiches. The quiche is outstanding and the owners are so nice. The location downtown is convenient too!

Superb coffee, good danish, WONDERFUL Oatmeal....The Owners - Greg and Joy are top-notch, first class people. All of their breakfast foods are sourced locally. Wonderful art displays from local artists. Go early, drink, eat, enjoy!!

Stopped in for breakfast. Simple but good menu, fresh baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Good coffee and cocoa. Has a nice comforting vibe, like an old beatnik coffee house in San Francisco.

Joy, Greg & their staff do more than just sell coffee - they have created a warm, and welcoming space that I long for on the days they are closed. As a local, this is a common meeting spot (intentional or serendipitous) for friends, a place to do work, or relax and read. The art is always interesting and the staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

My sister and I tried freshly brewed iced teas. I had an herbal Meyer lemon tea and chose to not sweeten it, it was delicious. I cannot remember which tea my sister tried , but, like that they ask if you want honey or sweetener added & if you do they let you add it to the cup before brewing your tea. We explored the shop while waiting for our teas to be brewed. It was a busy place and the food coming out to the tables looked delicious. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday or I would have been able to try their coffee on Monday when in Minocqua.

This place has great ambiance. Decorated really well and it is warm and inviting. I did not have food but I have heard ot os very good. My black breakfast blend coffee was very good. I was on a schedule and had limited time to get a coffee. My issues with this establishment is the setup and speed they serve at. I was the fourth group/customer in line. It took over 18 minutes before I got to order. The coffee is self serve so I was up, ordered, paid, and left to get my fill. The issue I have is they have one person taking food and drink orders at the register. They also then take the money for the bill. The line goes thru the restaurant because there is no room. This is a really inefficient setup and not customer friendly especially if there are more than 2 customers. They would have much better service with a better workfkow. I almost walked out due to my time but by the time I paid and filled my cup I was 20 minutes in. Again, I was the fourth customer. I would go back if it was not busy and had time to stand in line to give the food a chance.

Under the careful guidance of Greg, Joy and Chelsea - this place is the absolute best!! Great breakfasts - excellent choices of coffees and they can make more "Special drinks" than any Starbucks we've ever visited. Great place, lovely atmosphere.

AMPOTTERY

The only bad, we wish they were open longer and more frequent hours, but understandable here in the northwoods.
