I really miss this place! A trip to the Northwoods is not complete without it! I would also like to replace my large travel mug since it broke. But I love the food & experience! ????

Love it!!! Every year our family goes to Wisconsin and we make sure to visit Paul Bunyan's before we head back to Chicago. Everything is fresh, the service is amazing, it's warm and cozy and makes you feel at home kind of like cracker barrel vibe but better! I also love the homemade fresh donuts that are served when you sit down.. couldn't ask for a better place to end my trip!

Their Facebook page indicates they're open from 7am-12pm. Super inaccurate. They seem to be closed indefinitely. That part I understand due to current market conditions. What I can't understand is why you can't get them to admit that or post it anywhere (not even a sign on their front door). Their number seems to be disconnected. Why not at least have a voicemail telling customers that you're closed? The "A" in "Shanty" is also falling off on one side of the sign. Overall the property just looks like it hasn't been open or taken care of in months, if I had to guess. Pretty disappointing.

Why are they closed and for how long? I wanted to take the family there but it's closed. I used to go there all the time. It had a great atmosphere.

So delicious. If you leave here hungry it’s your own fault. Food is served family style and they keep bringing it out once the plates are empty! So yummy!

This place is a MUST when we come to the Dells. Not only is the place simply the coolest, the staff is wonderful, and the food is AMAZING!! PBCS is the start of our vacation, and it’s the perfect ending to a perfect week!! I had many students who would go to the Dells on the weekend. I offered a few extra incentive program dollars (“Strombucks”) if they would bring me a Paul Bunyan flapjack in a ziplock. No, I didn’t eat the pancake…but it helped teach them how to politely speak to people. Alongside a parent, they were to explain their challenge and request help from a staff member. Most people do not learn how to politely interact with service industry staff. We too often see people model the berating behavior, not appreciative behavior. Also, it gave us something to discuss in class that was a life-lesson in character education.

Ate there years ago, unfortunately it's closed now, but it's a really cool place to take a few photos.

Nice ambience of old logging days with long tables and rustic plates etc. One doesn’t come here for fine dining rather bring your appetite for their all you can eat special. Think hearty and quantity.

We were in Wisconsin Dells for a week and there’s a ton of places to eat, we ate there twice and it was awesome!

Not bad, food tastes like any taco bell. Service is fine. Sometimes the mobile orders don't go through and you have to let them know you've arrived which takes away the point of mobile ordering.

Normally I would give Paul Bunyan’s a five star rating. Family tradition that we have loved for years. Biggest complaint is VERY poor communication regarding hours of operation. Every resource on line indicated they were open (Sunday 5/30/21), but once we arrived they were closed. No sign on the door. Called the phone number—answer was ‘voicemail box is full’. Paul Bunyan’s needs to do a better job communicating their hours of operation and seasonal opening dates.
