Absolutely NOT service dog or disability friendly. Unless you have a fake certificate you bought by a random company online that doesn't even mean anything, good luck eating here. As a service dog handler this is really disappointing.

I have been coming here since I was about five years old and never had a problem. In fact, it was one of my favorite places to go with my family. However, that all ended today. I went into Murtaugh's to have some lunch with my family I had my service dog with me. Immediately, I was approached by a waitress who demanded I present documentation, which is illegal by ADA law. When I tried to explain this to her, she got even more confrontational and rude. My service dog was kicked out of this place and I ended up having a medical episode. Highly do not recommend this place as the staff is very snarky and they are not up-to-date on what is legal and not legal for medical disabilities and service dogs. The staff acts like they know more about ADA laws than someone who is an actual handler and has a disability. Will not be returning.

From the time we walked in for lunch the bartender had an attitude. We were sitting at a high top in the bar and I wasn’t sure if there was waitress service, so I went to the bar and asked for a menu, and the bartender said I’ll be right over there with an attitude. My wife and I were very polite throughout what turned out to be a horrible experience. She ignored us, made us wait, served other tables before us, and when I finished the chili handed me the check instead of asking us if we wanted another drink as we were watching the Packer game. I politely paid and got out of there. I’m not from this area and we were definitely treated like out of towners. I’m hoping she just had a horrible day and that she’s not always this way.

Stopped for a drink and quick lunch. Service was good, easy menu. We sat at the bar. Lots of TV's to watch football. Quaint and clean. I would go back again.
Cool bar, great service! That Hunter guy is a great bartender. Besides his service, he constantly loses in dice so he’s my favorite.

Moving to minocqua I had my work friends but loved Murtaugh’s because of the bartenders! Especially Hunter! So sad he’s leaving and makes our whole group want to find another bar since hes leaving us :(

My personal favorite fish fry! We travel to Minocqua from Milwaukee often in summer and I make it a point to try to get on the road early enough on Friday afternoon in order to make it to Murtaughs before they stop serving because I LOVE their Cajun Fish Fry SO much!
In Wisconsin opinions on Fish Fry are sacred and very subjective to the beholder, so I realize a lot of people may feel differently, but it's MY opinion that Murtaughs Cajun Fish Fry is my favorite! 👍
