Mincoqua is generally an unsafe place to be right now. Local law enforcement is detaining and arresting visitors without cause.
This establishment should come out publicly against the abuses of law enforcement this past week.

Messaged the boathouse 3 times to ask them about handicapped accessibility and heard nothing back. I’d never eat here even it was the last meal offered. Can’t even message customers back. Also when I drove by I didn’t see any handicapped spots in their ridiculous parking lot with dumpsters expose. Disgusting

We (2 adults) went around 2pm on a busy hot Saturday. We were seated quickly with a view right on the indoor patio. We each ordered water to drink. We had the crab cakes for the appetizer and those were extremely delicious. The price, however, I felt was a bit absurd for them ($17). We both ordered the prime rib sandwich. He got chips on the side and I got sweet potato fries. The fries were a great consistency. But they really lack flavor. Throw some salt on those! I didnt much care for the prime rib. When I told the waitress how I liked my steak done she stated that they don't do that there as the meat was already pretty thin? Idk how that works but when I bit into it it tasted like old reheated hamburger. My friend enjoyed his sandwich on the other hand and was happy to eat the rest of mine too. In total I gave a $10 tip because the host and our watress were wonderful. I spent a total of $73. I will be back but I'll definitely be ordering something else.

Went and sat downstairs, was not particularly busy. Waitress told us to sit wherever we wanted and she would be with us shortly. After walking past us 4 or 5 times she ended up sitting down at the table next to us without ever even taking our drink order. Decided to just go somewhere else that actually wanted our business.

Great food. Old fashion was delicious and felt bad for the bartender all by himself on a very busy Friday. He was friendly and apologized for the long wait. Was here for a getaway weekend. definitely did not disappoint
